We had an old guy last time in McCain. Besides, Paul's isolationist foreign policy, at 76 he is probably unable to learn from events as well as a little younger person. Although he is head and shoulders ahead of Obama I think there are better choices.

  4. Ron Paul wants to end income tax and the drug wars. That's two good reasons to vote for the man. Who else has the balls to say that publicly?

He can't be bought. He's the man.

I'm not predicting by any means that he will be sucessful this time in running for POTUS but I like his talk.

  6. You keep calling him isolationist - but don't you know that just repeating a lie doesn't make it true.
Ron is not an isolationist AT ALL

Ron Paul is an isolationist. He said it himself. It is the central theme of his foreign policy.

  8. Please provide a quote (you can't).
Otherwise, you are just making things uo (you are).
Stop spouting FOX taglines on Ron.

    There's a difference between isolationsim and non-intervention.
If you want to have a clue, read up on it.

Otherwise, just let Hannity and O'reilly tell you what to think about the best presidential candidate of our generation.

    Ron Paul.....
"Anyone who advocates the noninterventionist foreign policy of the Founding Fathers can expect to be derided as an isolationist. I myself have never been an isolationist. I favor the very opposite of isolation: diplomacy, free trade, and freedom of travel.
The real isolationists are those who impose sanctions and embargoes on the countries and peoples across the globe because they disagree with the internal and foreign policies of their leaders. The real isolationists are those who choose to use force overseas to promote democracy, rather than seeking change through diplomacy, engeagement, and by setting a positive example."
    _______________
Paul defines in a clever way, his idea of isolationism. He believes we can talk through all our world problems with diplomacy and setting a positive example. Would be nice, Chamberlain thought the same of Hitler.

Who sets the law and enforces the law for International waters? Does Paul feel each cargo ship is on its own against pirates and raiders?
Do we give sovereignty to Iran to regulate the Straights of Hormuz? What if they don’t honor western business contracts to allow oil ships to pass through Hormuz? What if Iran says only ships operated by Muslim men can travel throught their bordors. Do we have the right to sanction or bomb them?

I guess "isolationist" is a bad word in Ron Paul's book. Here is what he said,

"Isolationists", Paul said, "want to close the U.S.'s borders and cut off trade relationships with other countries."

I don't see the cutting off of trade with other countries as neccessarily part of an isolationist's views. With that in mind, Paul is certainly an "isolationist" in his view of foreign policy.
