    It's not a war, it's mostly a humanitarian aid mission; the US is not intervening in the war of the rebels vs. Gadaffi, is not attacking Gadaffi's forces.

    They've merely destroyed some AA installations with long range bombs and instated a no-fly zone in order to prevent Gadaffi from bombing civilians. They are not on the ground fighting against Gadaffi. They're also seeking to hand over command of the ops to a European nation a few of which are officially at war with Libya and, imo, should intervene and blow the shit out of Gadaffi.

    No impeachment.

    There seem to be barely any people with a grip on reality anymore in US politics. You're either a pinko liberal with fluffy ideas on how the world should be sweet and nice or you're a right-wing Obama basher without proper arguments or you're a tea-partier who thinks we should go back to the 1800's in terms of economic policy and would probably enjoy the prospect of a civil war. All morons, just don't vote and be done with your silly opinions.

  2. So... the prez can commit troops and deploy weapons... so long as he doesn't call it "war", it's OK?

    WRONG. Odumbo has committed ACTS OF WAR.... in violation of the Constitution. (As did Bush. Let's not forget, "2 wrongs don't make a right".)

    If "deploying weapons onto a foreign soil" isn't an act of war, then neither was the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor.

  3. 120 Tomahawk missiles is not war? Each Tomahawk costs $1 million and more (economics).

    It's not a war if all you do is sabotage some equipment on the other side. Do you think that the US has a declared war on every country that it's fucking with at any given time? Of course it's not with tomahawks or w/e, but rest assured, shit is being blown up all the time without any congressional approvement.

    It's a war when you actively engage hostile forces.

    Bombing another country is most definitely an act of WAR...are u serious? If it were about stopping the killing the US would have been destroyed by now. Again, if you guys think we are doing this because of civilians being killed, I have swamp land for sale.....if this were the case we would be bombing half the world....

    They're a bunch of whiny pissants imo. There is no law that says you cannot revolt.

    Furthermore when some groups finally get up and get mad they do so in favor of their own special interest lobbies (teacher's unions), not a just, fair and equal treatment of all. Nobody really cares about anything until you touch their unrightfully earned benefits and what not, but in the meantime they'll whine your ears off about how corrupt Washington is, Odumbo and I don't know what kind of other bullshit they can think of.

    US = entitlement nation.

    Yes. No treaty (such as the one that created NATO) can override the Constitution. The Constitution does not say that congress doesn't have to declare war if NATO wants it.
