  4. Can't have a discussion or debate without acknowledging and accepting the obvious. We have no rights. A right means I don't need permission. Who decides? You, me? No, the government decides who gets what and when, up to and including your very right to live. They decide.

  5. In a civilized society governed by enlightened leaders, everyone should have certain rights. In a free-for-all, not so much.

    I prefer civilized society. You?

  6. It's not a free for all, I am simply acknowledging who is in charge.
We the people have granted the government to make decisions for us in the hope they keep our best interest in mind when making these decisions. That is how a civilized society works. I have no issue with this. The problem is when that government becomes more self serving than public servant and the process of replacing them becomes so corrupted that they are for all practical purposes permanent fixtures rather than elected officials.

  7. Back to addressing the OP. Next up immigration. Grade F. Double F, triple F, F to infinity. This really is a useless endeavor at the level of what we think. Doesn't matter if you're for wide open borders or a wall a mile high, they will not fix this. It is the golden goose on the never ending campaign trail to stir up the idiot base for both sides. No point in wasting time telling you what I think other than open borders won't work and neither will a fuckin wall. F as is completely fucked up and fucked up with intent to do so.

  8. Can things be improved upon? Sure. Did Trump improve anything at all while he was in office? No, not a blessed thing. He destroys anything and everything in his wake. Thus far, he has only been destroying that which has made the US noteworthy in a good way. America's institutions and reputation are being sullied daily by Trump.

  9. Regulations. We need more of them, not because I love regulations, but because corporations, especially the financial institutions, have proven themselves so corrupt and/or incompetent that government oversight is required. Problem is we have a bought and paid for congress doing the overseeing. Grade F

Fascist government. Another term thrown around far to often and too loosely. Not liking what the government is doing doesn't mean we have a fascist government. Arguably we have a corrupt government, but that doesn't make it fascist. If there are people practicing tactics of fascism we need look no further than a college campus. That tactic being not allowing opposing opinions. Grade F for throwing it where it doesn't apply. Full disclosure, I may be guilty of this myself from time to time. Labels are as an easy and lazy way to argue a point.

  10. Sure they can, and prior to Trump we were living on shangri-la? He is the response from a people tired of a corrupt government which doesn't really represent them. Probably not the best response, but a tired of it all fuck you type responses rarely are
