Which is why our government has been called by some "an insurance company with an army". Anyway, it's not "taking" if it's willingly (if grudgingly) given.

  4. And who used it? Yes, the republicans to save the banks/wall street! In there is a lesson on who is shouldering the burden of america. In addition, every dollar paid (in the form of taxes/profits/bailouts/etc) comes from the consumer. Moreover, wealth is created by workers, not by businesses. Businesses are just a tool like capital, machinery, etc. It is humans that create wealth/increase productivity, etc. Some businesses just harvest it, like a middleman does. Some are call-options (with upside and no down side) obtained for free if not with a negative "cost" (better than free).

I don't think there is anyone here who thinks there should be no government.

  6. Did the highway system not net profits? Hoover Dam nets profits to this day. Infrastructure so everyone can do it themselves as well.

  7. nope, the difference is some want the govt as intended and authorized, some want govt to take care of their every need and desire with free money (opm), and most are in the middle. The problem with the people in the middle is they are ignorant or short-sighted, if the rules you don't like can be bent or broken, then so can the ones you DO like.

  8. Few people would understand what you seem you already understand. If I can be blunt, some people may not have the ability to understand certain things.

  9. Most businesses offer healthcare to their employess in the first place. You think they aren't going to hire because they have a mandate to offer something they already offer?

  10. They offer it because it is of benefit to them, and they make compared to paying with the green back.
