In 2008, Barack Obama carried Independents in Ohio by 8 points and in Florida by 7 points. That victory among Independents contributed a great deal to his 2.8-point win in Florida and his 4.5 point win in Ohio. A victory by Romney among Independents could tilt both key states in his favor.

Curiously, Independents seem to be mostly ignored this election cycle, and their presidential vote preference is almost unanimously ignored by the MSM. Instead, “women” have replaced Independents as the key demographic. This emphasis and sudden fascination conveniently ties in nicely with the Democrats’ fictitious “War on Women” meme.

In both Ohio and Florida, Barack Obama’s “clear leads” all come from heavy over-sampling of Democrats, not from winning the crucial Indie vote. In fact, most of the polls that show Obama with big leads also show Romney handily winning Independent voters. Yet, somehow, Obama manages to increase his performance from 2008 despite Independents now opposing him. Let's take a look at how Romney is competing among Independents in recent polls:

    Ohio – Leads Among Independents

Ohio Newspaper Organization – Romney +28
    CBS/NYT/Quinnipiac – Romney +1
American Research Group – Romney +16
    Fox News – Romney +4
We Ask America – Romney +3
Public Policy Polling – Romney +2

    Florida - Leads Among Independents

    CBS/NYT/Quinnipiac – Romney +3
    Gravis Marketing – Romney +4
We Ask America – Romney +2
American Research Group – Romney +1
Florida Times Union – Romney +4
    Fox News – Obama +2

Remember, these are states Obama won by small margins in 2008, primarily by winning Independents by 7 and 8 points. If Barack Obama were winning with Independents in every poll, it’s clear the media would be talking about it just as they did, to the point of annoyance, four years ago.

More evidence the swing state race is close and Romney seems to have the advantage.
    ----
CBS/New York Times/Quinnipiac University released yesterday a series of polls of Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania showing Obama leading by nine percent, 10 percent and nine percent in the three states respectively. But the samples used for these polls were skewed by eight to nine percent in favor of Democrats. When the data us unskewed for these polls, the result shows them tied or within the margin of error. That is far different than nearly double digit leads for Obama in all of them.

A Franklin and Marshall College poll of Pennsylvania released yesterday shows a similar level of being skewed. It reported an Obama lead of 52 percent to 43 percent using a sample that was skewed in favor of Democrats by 11 percent. This poll, unskewed, shows the race tied at 47 percent for each candidate in Pennsylvania.

The Washington Post released, two days ago, polls of Florida and Ohio showing Obama leads of 51 percent 47 percent in Florida and 52 percent to 44 percent in Ohio. The Florida poll was skewed Democrats by four percent and the Ohio poll was skewed for Democrats by seven percent. Unskewed, the data from these polls indicated a 50 percent to 46 percent Romney lead in Florida and a 49 percent to 47 percent Romney lead in Ohio.

These polls are being heavily reported in the mainstream media, resulting in the creation of a perception that President Obama has an insurmountable lead in these key swing states and therefore has the race for president all but won already. This perception is driving the analysis and reporting of the state of the presidential race. The perception almost entirely creates the conventional wisdom that is focused too much on whether one campaign or the other is employing successful tactics and strategy rather than informing the voters of what the agenda and policy proposals are for the candidates and how they intend to address the major issues of concern to the voters.

LOOKS THAT FOX NEWS IS GOING TO AIR THE DOCUMENTARY OBAMA 2016... HEADS UP FOR THIS SUNDAY NIGHT 9:00 PM... TO ALL AMERICANS, DEMOCRAT, REPUBLICAN, INDEPENDENTS, RIGHT OR LEFT... THIS SUNDAY NIGHT

Set Your DVR for the Fox News channel at 9:00 PM Eastern. Maybe this is why the White House has been discounting FOX.
Sounds like this could be history in the making someone may go down - either Obama or Fox News. It may be that Fox has been holding this information back due to the sensitivity of it and out of courtesy. But, Obama has taken on Fox and it appears they are ready to spill the ugly beans of truth about the background of this individual who has had an extremely radical past. This Sunday, Fox News is going to air a very important documentary about Barack Obama, Sunday night at 9P.M. Eastern.

The report will go back to Obama's earlier days, showing even then his close ties to radical Marxist professors, friends, spiritual advisers, etc. It will also reveal details about his ties to Rev. Wright for 20+ years, i.e., how he was participating with this man and not for the reasons he stated.

The report has uncovered more of Obama's radical past and we will see things that no one in the media is willing to put out there. It will be a segment to remember. Mark your calendar and pass this on to everyone you know: Sunday night, 8 PM CT; 9 PM ET.
Democrat or Republican, this report will open your eyes to how YOUR country is being sold down the road to Totalitarian Socialism.
