Biden/Kamala will win in 2024 even if Trump runs so long as they pass some time of student loan forgiveness. It could be as little as $10K. Want to know how I predicted both Osoff and Warnock winning in Georgia even with Democrats on this board doubting my prediction? I know Osoff and Warnock both had people on the ground promising stimulus checks if they won while the Republicans were unclear in their stimulus message.
In a way the suicide of the of the once great , but not in the best sense of the word, Grand Old Party, is a fitting end. Just one more example of Reaping What One Sows. The Republican Party's natural constituents, those who can actually vote anyway, are far to few to win elections; the remainder of constituents being only able to vote with dollars rather than ballots. The Party has therefore been forced to open its doors to disparate groups and hold them together by lying. Considering this, I suppose it was inevitable that one or the other of these lunatic fringe groups they invited in would eventually seize control of the party. Trump will be fighting one or more indictments be 2024, making any campaign of his appear ludicrous to the majority of voters, including those actual Republicans like Romney and Cheney who have been cast off like old shoes. Those who have no moral compass nor any guiding principles other then their own selfish interests, like McConnell, will inevitably go down with the ship. This is sad, and the Democrats should be alarmed rather than happy. They need a strong opposition party to keep them from the pitfall of unbridled excesses. The midterm election outcome is quite uncertain because we know not yet whether State Legislatures' attempts to make voting less convenient for minorities will have their intended results. But we can be quite sure that the many court challenges will have had time to wend their way through the Courts by 2024 and that by then the Democrats will have perfected countermeasures. Consequently, it's a fairly safe bet that the 2024 election will see another disastrous loss for those who have now usurped the "Republican" name. After that, there will certainly be a realignment and possibly the birth of an entirely new Party. In the meantime the Wall Street and Corporate America that we have come to know are in the process of being left stripped bare of the protection they have come to take for granted from what is now the extinct Republican Party. The Republican Party, since at least the Days of McKinley and the Spanish American War, have been the protectors of businesses' interests. The Business World will be uneasy entrusting that role to a bunch of lunatics. McConnell will still be there, most likely, up to 2024, and will still, with his monotone drone, simultaneously mellifluous and maliferous*, control the present day Senators on his side of the isle. He won't, however, be able to control the lunatics who he now must depend on to maintain power. He's left in terrible straits. __________________ * I considered "insalubrious" here, but that's perhaps going a bit too far.
History would tell us that we do have a good idea what will happen during the midterms. There's a good chance that Democrats will lose the House and/or the Senate. There's no telling what will happen in 2024 though.
i saw it in Ohio and PA. the GOP isnt fighting it, it’s becoming it. mitt romney was almost censured today. Any Republican who isn’t pro trump is getting purged from the party.
[QUOTE="UsualName, post: 5333059, member: 501368"Also, he said there is a weird pairing of Christianity and Trump. He explained seeing pictures of Trump with the image of Jesus is common. I was floored. This stuff is getting weird.[/QUOTE]
very interesting thanks. What is that site? It seems very reasonable. I think it is highly likely Biden will step down after four years. And highly unlikely Trump will even run, let alone win. However LS1Z28 has it correct that history would predict the Party out of power picking up seats. I think this coming 2022 election may turn out to be the exception, it all depends on how successful the Republican Legislatures will have been in suppressing Democrat and Independent voting for Democrats. . Should be an interesting election. Wild claims of bankrupting the nation and putting huge debt burdens on future generations (which is untrue as there is no national debt other than in "name") versus the reality of a red hot economy where everyone is doing GREAT! The only thing the Democrats must do to succeed is to absolutely not let the Republicans throw a monkey wrench in the works, which of course they will do if given an inch. The Democrats must get Joe Manchin to support changing the Filibuster back to a talking Filibuster. If they can do that the Republicans will not be Road kill but rather plain old dead meat. The more West Virginians prosper under the Biden Admin. the more Joe Manchin will want to climb aboard the Biden Express. It's very difficult to fight obvious success. I'm sure sleepy Joe realizes that. Really good times for hard working, lower middle class West Virginians are on the immediate horizon!
The Ongoing Mystery of Jesus's Face He is one of the most commonly painted figures in Western art. But what do we really know about his appearance? For many scholars, Revelation 1:14-15 offers a clue that Jesus's skin was a darker hue and that his hair was woolly in texture. The hairs of his head, it says, "were white as white wool, white as snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, his feet were like burnished bronze, refined as in a furnace.” https://www.history.com/news/what-d...olars, Revelation 1,refined as in a furnace.”
