Romney Looks Like the Next Pres

  1. The race for the presidency remains close. Obama cannot get close to 50% in the polls below or the RCP average of polls. This is bad news for an incumbent.

Romney and Obama tied in the Gallup poll (5/16 - 5/22):

    Romney 46%, Obama 46%

Obama leads in Rasmussen tracking poll of likely voters (5/20 - 5/22):

    Romney 45%, Obama 46%

These are the two most credible national tracking polls.

  2. Romney supporters keep posting that the incumbent is supposed to have a huge lead or he is in trouble and that is not true.

Polls from May 2004,Obama is doing better against Romney then Bush was doing against Kerry

Seems like Obama's support of same-sex marriage is backfiring badly. He's given Florida away.

I think it has hurt him almost everywhere to some extent. Except for places like San Francisco.

what is really going to hurt him is the evisceration of obamacare.

Romney will be able to point out that other than the seals taking out Osama, Obama did nothing but spend money and follow bush's timetable.

    If Obama blames the court

Romney will quite simple say I thought you were a Constitutional scholar, you did not know the realize the court would have problems with your "unprecedented" mandate of payments to 3rd parties? Why would you take such a risk with your big piece of legislation.

Obama really will look like amateur hour.

    Yeah, thats huge isn't it?

What will the administration say and do when their only accomplishment prangs and ground-loops to the side of the runway with collapsed gear?

Will they try to blame the SCOTUS? Yes.

Will they acknowledge that they miscalculated the constitutionality of their stupid legislation? No.

Will they blame George Bush? LOL.

The Obama regime is going to be voted out. There aren't enough black people in the USA to keep him in office and they rest of the population can't tolerate much more of this economy.

In a way we are very lucky that Obama wasted his time on Obamacare because he could have done very serious damage to the country if he had done anything constitutional. Just imagine all of the other things he might have done that we can't get thrown out by the Supreme Court. Obamacare absorbed all of the liberal stupidity in Washington and it gets disposed of all at once in a neat little package that goes straight to the dumpster.

yes... and I am almost sure of this...

it was a black hole for liberal stupidity... purposely imploded by the insurance lobby. There was a reason they paid such big money to the dems and required the dems to swallow that poison pill.

    Either it imploded the legislation
or Wall Street and their subsidiary Insurance bought themselves another medicare Part D windfall.

It really should have been single payer or nothing.

Obama did not have the team, the smarts or the guts or the real liberal core to hold true to what he set out to accomplish.

And that is the moral of the story.

Both McCain and Obama had a chance to show moral fiber. McCain's lack of fiber during Tarp, handed the election to Obama, then Obama's lack of fiber handed his legacy to insurance companies.

Wall Street bought both sides because both sides had no real core.
