Romney Looks Like the Next Pres

Discussion in 'Politics' started by jem, Apr 13, 2012.

  1. Its not imo.Romney got a sight boost after Rick dropped out but it has quickly faded. He will get another slight boost after picking his VP then a few weeks later that will fade and Obama will roll on to re election imo

Nothing is impossible and Romney might pull off one of the greatest upsets in presidential history but the odds, the polls, the money, presidential history and other advantages are so far in Obamas favor I don't think Romney wins

I wish the name of this thread was Ron Paul Looks Like The Next President.
Imagine how the conversation might be different.

It is a close race. The RCP average poll spread is 3.5%. Most of these polls have an error rate of plus or minus 4%. There is a long way to go until November. I think Obama is the favorite, but it is close.

You're right. Count me in. The bet is on.

The only reason I mentioned enforcement is because I don't trust you not to come back for whatever length of time we agreed upon when you lose. I will keep my part of the deal. Let's see if you keep yours.

Speaking of which, is it for one month or three? Make it for as long as you like and post it here. Then bookmark this exchange and we'll see in November. In the meantime, you might want to start thinking about a new user name.

Sorry, bud. Going to have to disagree with you on this one. It's not about Romney. This election is about Obama, just like it was in November 2010. It's a vote on Obama and the current administration. A question of the "tallest midget", if you will. As much as folks will look at Romney and said "ughh..." they'll look at the alternative and vomit.

Lucrum had it right. People will "hold their nose and vote Romney" if for nothing than to get rid of Obama.

Careful, these guys are a literal bunch and they won't take kindly to someone who they think is trying to cut in on their action.

  8. Good. The bet you accepted is on pg66 of this thread. But I will just post it here again: obama wins I'm gone for 3 months, Romney wins your gone for 1. to seal the deal you post your results from this, honestly if possible:http://www.politicalcompass.org/

I know you already know this and you are going to say you aren't taking the test, but that WAS THE BET YOU ACCEPTED. If you aren't going to do that then I am not betting 3 mos to your 1. And LOLOL that you don't trust me.. after your bullshit in this thread alone I have no confidence at all that you will uphold your end of the deal. But I gave my word and meant it.. if I lose I won't post ONCE on this site from election day until my 'time' is up.

No, there is no "sealing" with me jumping through any of your hoops. The bet is about Obama winning or losing. Period. That was the only bet I agreed to and is the only bet I will honor. Anything else is the product of your wishful thinking. Either agree or the bet is off and then you will be the one who has reneged.

  10. I'll gloat after the election. I wouldn't vote for Obama at gunpoint; it's simply that the numbers don't lie.
