As another former mod I'm inclined to agree. Besides, while I personally wouldn't know where to start, it's my understanding getting a different IP isn't particularly difficult. People who have had banned IP's right here on ET do it regularly.
I don't like people who play both sides off of one another for their own entertainment. On Ignore Jackass.
You and I have never even discussed making a bet with each other, so you are lying about "Tom is all hat and not cattle." I did not realize that the mods now want to mediate bets on ET. They seem to have a busy enough job without mediating side bets. Also, as T28 has proven, it is almost impossible to prevent some one from creating a new alias and posting on ET. Why would anyone want to make a bet with you? You still claim that Mao and Stalin were right wingers. You cannot admit that you are wrong. You have no integrity. If Romney were to win, you would make some excuse why he wasn't the real winner. The chance of you honoring a bet is almost zero. edit: I see you edited your original post that I quoted and substituted 377OHMS for Tom. Let's see if you will admit the edit.
Why? If someone is permanently banned, do the mods not seek to ban any subsequent aliases that may crop up? Why should this be any different? Further, it would make the forum that much more interesting, seeing its members actually putting something on the line. A ban from ET isn't all that much, in terms of putting something on the line, but it's more than empty words and bluster. You're just defending your brethren, aren't you?
I found i was close alot of the time between a simple "agree" and a "strongly agree" almost wish there was another option on each side for in between, but i suppose it makes a huge difference whether or not you will take a hardline stance on things.... The horses brASS and freethinker are probably far top left above stalin.....
