============ Speking of change/xchange did you see in the news ,President Barack called on Congress to crack down on oil specs[gasoline specs, by implication also perhaps]. I did not vote for him, but really he is right on this one. With the war on terror, we dont need/'want any specs running up the price on oil-let them run down the price of oil/gas And now FOX news & CBN news reported Pastor Robert Jeffress, who had endorsed Gov perry for Pres[-who rightly exsposed Mormanism as a cult] has now endorsed gov Romney Pastor Robert is the Pastor of !st Baptist Church in Dallas, huge TV Time ministry, bookwriter............................. CBN News had the better news story/explanation. Its true Mormanism is a cult, but MUCH better than socialism. Besides John Moses Browning was a Morman, & look @ all the good guns they made/make.LOL
interesting that racism is so strong in christian circles that they would reject a black christian man who had done nothing but bend over backwards kissing their ass over a white morman. still i wonder if the sheep in the pews will be able to pull that lever to vote for a morman. they might just stay home.
Sorry but almost 100% of this post is nonsense. 1) How do you "crack down" on a legal act. Oil is a commodity. If there are a lot of people thinking the price will be higher in the future then they are going to drive it higher now in anticipation. We should crack down on all those parents who were driving up the price of "tickle me elmo" dolls a few years ago. Now if you want to talk about oil cartels artificially depressing supply in order to keep prices high, then I am all ears. If you want to talk about oil companies selling to each other to create artificial demand like the energy companies were, then let's do it. But speculators don't cause high oil prices, they anticipate it and respond. This is a completely legal and legitimate act in a free market. 2) To say that Mormonism is a cult is to say that pretty much all major world religions are cults. At the core it is not much different than what most people call main stream Christianity. If you want to make the argument that it is more cult-ish because it's members are more devout and committed than typical Christians, then that's a legit argument. But I would argue that Mormons are known for being very hard working, industrious, charitable, and honest. Too bad all cults don't follow suit, or all religions for that manner.
Romney up by 4. Look at the last sentence. Romney will crush. 70% of voters believe the govt should cut spending. America is intelligent after all. There are just a few loudmouth leftists who want to follow Krugman, Obama and the obama loons off the cliff. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/pub...ministration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 24% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -17 (see trends). Twenty-one percent (21%) of homeowners believe the value of their home will go up in the coming year, but 25% expect the opposite. Fifty-three percent (53%) of voters favor environmental regulations that place stricter limits on carbon dioxide emissions from new coal power plants, but most also recognize that those regulations will make the cost of energy go up. Interestingly, they have a slightly more favorable view of the coal industry than they do of the agency that is regulating it, the Environmental Protection Agency. In a hypothetical Election 2012 matchup, presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney earns 47% of the vote, while President Obama attracts support from 43%. Matchup results are updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). See tracking history. Overall, 47% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's job performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) at least somewhat disapprove. To help the economy, 70% of voters believe the government should cut spending. Only 17% want an increase in government spending.
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/mood_of_america/generic_congressional_ballot A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters would vote for the Republican in their districtâs congressional race if the election were held today, while 36% would choose the Democrat instead. This is the largest gap between the two parties since the beginning of 2011. It also doubles the gap found a week ago when the Republican led by five points, 45% to 40%.
A bunch of horseshit. You want to go after someone driving up the price of oil (and a whole host of other assets)? Go after Bernanke and the Fed. Oh, but they can't because if they go after him on the rising price of oil, they realize that curbing his free money efforts will ALSO take out the stock market. The single biggest hit to oil prices right now would occur if Ben got on the mic and simply said "We can no longer afford to engage in accomodative monetary policy." You'd see the biggest one-day drop probably in the history of the oil market. The true manipulator is the government, via the Fed.
Obama now down to +1.7 on Real clear politics, he has lost 4 points on real clear politics, just one week after Santorum dropped out, and the only polls that show him winning now are the ones with a heavy skew towards democrats. Things not looking good right now for Obama, look for them to create some kind of false race controversy in the next couple weeks.
Government is, of course, manipulating everything in the USA, but I do believe that under the system they are allowing that specs are part of the high oil prices, at least to some extent.
