Well, if they don't read Romney's economic plan they might switch to Romney.

  2. Haven't thought about it.I predict enough dems and independents will vote for Obama to give him the win by a comfortable margin

  3. I'm pretty sure the Dem's and Ind's will come out in enough force to beat out the small ABO crowd. The R's who hate Romney will stay home, and it appears that Max E. Pad will give up voting altogether.

You might want to look at those polls again if you think lots of independents showing up would be a good thing for Obama, most polls show Romney leading or tied with independents.....

The democrats are counting on winning the election with a purely partisan vote, they cant win if an equal amount of republicans and democrats show up and its left to the independents....

I dont know of any polls that show Obama leading that dont have more democrats in them, though i do agree more of them will show up on voting day, so i do believe obama is leading by a point or two right now..... According to the polls Obama needs to have atleast a +5 advantage to win this thing, which will probably happen but he sure as hell better hope its his guys and not independents showing up to the polls.....

Mitt Romney still faces a public that views him more unfavorably than favorably, and the gap between the two opinions has grown in recent months, according to a Washington Post/ABC News poll released Wednesday.

About 40 percent of voters told pollsters they view the Republican hopeful favorably, consistent with his numbers in May. Since then, though, the percentage of those who view him unfavorably went from 45 percent to 49 percent, according to the poll.
The percentage of Americans who viewed Romney unfavorably peaked at 50 percent in a March 25 Washington Post/ABC News poll, before dropping to 45 percent in a May 27 poll.

Obama is doing better: The poll found 53 percent of voters hold favorable opinions of him, while 43 percent hold unfavorable ones. He also holds an advantage with independents, a key group in the upcoming election. More than half of independents -- 53 percent -- said they view Obama favorably, compared to the 40 percent who said they didn't. Romney's favorability among independents is the reverse, with half viewing him unfavorably and 37 percent saying they hold a favorable opinion of him.

    1. Reuters poll is with registered voters.. not likely voters and once again slanted by 5 points to the dems.
so with 2 points to Romney for likely voters... and taking away that 5 point slant and give those 5 points to I or R... Romney would be tied or winning.

    2. Obama is losing with independents and views as unfavorable by every productive person in america.

So rather than holding Obama responsible for a recession he inherited, or praising him simply because that recession didn't continue perpetually, the fairest measure of his economic stewardship is this one:

How does the Obama recovery compare to other recoveries from similar downturns across the decades?

On that basis, the Obama recovery can only be graded as a tremendous failure — as it has produced the worst rate of economic growth of any recovery in the past 65 years.

Over that span, we've had 10 previous recessions and 10 previous recoveries. According to the federal government's own Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), average real (inflation-adjusted) GDP growth in the first three years after those recessions was 4.6%.

During the Obama recovery (which began three years ago, in July 2009), average real GDP growth has been just 2.2% — less than half the historical norm. Of the past 11 recoveries, the Obama recovery has been the worst.
