Really ? Dec 2011 USA today http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/story/2011-12-22/voters-political-parties/52171688/1 Registered Democrats still dominate the political playing field with more than 42 million voters, compared to 30 million Republicans and 24 million independents http://elkodaily.com/democrats-outp...cle_a53e09de-a78b-11e1-ae8e-001a4bcf887a.html Democrats outpace GOP in voter registrations CARSON CITY (AP) â Nevada Democrats outpaced Republicans in new voter registrations leading up to the state primary. The secretary of state's office Friday reports that from May 1 through May 22 when primary registration closed, Democrats registered 4,322 active voters, compared with 2,254 registered by Republicans. The number of active registered nonpartisans increased by 2,544 during the same time period. Statewide, Democrats now hold a 38,792 voter advantage over Republicans. But the gap is far less than the 100,000 voter edge Democrats had going into the 2008 general election. http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/state/gop-closes-in-on-democrats-in-florida-voter-2107649.html Jan. 17, 2012 Figures released by the Division of Elections today show Florida has 11.2 million voters, with 40.5 percent registered as Democrats and about 36.2 percent as Republicans. The gap of 4.3 percentage points between Democratic and Republican registrations compares to a 5.8-point gap that favored Democrats heading into the 2008 presidential election. http://www.pagop.org/2012/01/as-parties-lose-voters-republicans-chip-away-at-democrats-advantage/ Pennsylvania-January 20th, 2012 In November 2006, Democrats held a roughly 600,000-voter edge with 3.9 million registered voters to the Republicansâ 3.3 million. The number now stands at 4.1 million Democrats to 3 million Republicans. The 2012 election will come down to turnout, he said. With a margin that still tops 1.1 million, Democrats have a huge advantage if they can motivate those voters to show up at the polls. But by narrowing that advantage, Republicans put more pressure on the turnout effort, he said.
you keep putting up old tired information about voter roles AK. Voter rolls need to be purged. Story after story shows Dems have lost 5 to percent of their number since the high water mark in 2008. And the 2010 and recent election results show it Polls how that more people lean republican than dem. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/mood_of_america/partisan_trends Partisan Trends: Republicans 35.4%, Democrats 34.0%, Unaffiliateds 30.5%
Good post. Everyone knows that Rep's stopped calling themselves that due to the nightmare that was called W, thus the larger independent numbers. That Rasmussen just keeps being so wrong, I just wonder who's in charge of that one?
Why did you leave the point that 37% are independents? Is it perhaps you know that most of the independents were republican, lean republican and vote republican. You will note... I said lean republican on the previous page. Also note, the majority of independents state they would never vote for Obama.
ABC News/Wash Post Tie Wash Times/JZ Analytics Romney +1 Reuters/Ipsos Obama +6 Rasmussen TrackingRomney +3 Gallup Tracking Tie ET moves national polls baby. That abc news has swung big over the last few months. Obama was plus 8 in april. Now you can believe Romney has swung the needle 9 points... or you can realize we have called bullshit on their samples.
I've had a young lady staying with me for the last 10 days here at the Ponderosa and she was hating on Romney as badly as some hate George W. Bush. She basically believes he outsourced jobs, dodged taxes and that he was probably a secret polygamist and engaged in human sacrifice. I'm fond of this woman but I could not even enage her in any kind of normal discussion about Barrack Obama. She thinks everything wrong with the country today is the fault of George Bush and that Obama is a complete saint. I think the liberal media is having success with its dishonest reporting and that Obama has a very good chance of being reelected. I will certainly vote ABO but it is difficult when the entire media is in-the-bag for Obama and Planned American Decline. Democracy is self-immolating just as some said it would. Franklin said that the best form of government was "a Republic, if you can keep it". Now we are finding out what he meant.
