Obviously I disagree with you on whether abortion should be protected as a woman’s choice but I will give you credit for having the courage of conviction. Many people lauding the overturning of Roe are being very convenient in their stance on pro-life and the truth is if you are arguing abortion is “killing babies” then there can be no carve outs for rape or incest. And if you are arguing for special carve outs then you are a hypocrite.
Sounds ridiculous, sure. And it is. But a lot of things that were previously considered ridiculous came to pass. The US wouldn't be the first country to go marching backwards in time. Certain Middle Eastern countries were once much more liberal than they are now.
You are pro-yourself fella and actual women don't go straight to calling out "sluts" who didn't keep their knees together. The SC decision was driven by evangelicals who's activism found an ideal target.
The Supreme Court is fundamentally changing America. I’m not sure of what the ramifications of the prayer in school case are from yesterday but that could be just as altering of our country as the Roe decision. Big EPA decision coming down I guess tomorrow that can not only impact the federal government’s ability to regulate pollution but regulate at all.
On the road to Iranian style theocracy and these idiots on the right are just cheering it on. Look at what the Supreme Court has forced on the country in just 2022: Guns everywhere Abortion protection repealed Praying in schools Just one of these decisions is wildly altering alone. Combined its jarring with at least one more big ruling to come.
Iran is big on a running a country by a handful of men in robes. Whereas in the United States, the men/women in robes just turned an important decision over to the people to decide. Not seeing the Iran theocracy in that.
