Ohh, no oppression because the court ruled… gee the court has never ruled in favor of oppression in America. It’s all a shit show from here on out with this court anyway. All kinds of stupid backwards shit is about to roll down on the country like slurry down an unregulated West Virginia coal top mountain. We are going to go from shining city on a hill to broke down trailer in a holler.
Of course the Court has made oppressive decisions and that is why settled law must be reversed on rare occasions. Thank you. Otherwise, your jaundiced logic that says that because some rulings are bad is not sufficient to make the case that this one is. You must go on to explain why letting the people's representatives decide on matters not enumerated in the constitution is oppressive.
Again, there are 3 distinct elements of a right enumerated, implied and inherent. You keep going back to this enumerated argument as if it is the whole of the constitution. It is not. Abortion fit well under privacy and there are other rights we all have under our established privacy right. This glucksberg test range is a bunch of bullshit that came about in 1998 or something and virtually all of the historical points on “quickening” through common law are taken out of context. You keep trying to sell the forum this phony “textualist” or “originalist” nonsense. No matter what you say it is still a truly legally flawed ruling because taking away abortion rights by not recognizing privacy undermines all the other rights protected under our inherent right to privacy. Hence why there had to be a disclaimer in the ruling. As to the chaos that will ensue. You will see not having access to abortion care will not stop women from trying to get abortions and some will be subjected to awful and horrendous outcomes because of the nature of the medical care.
This is what you get when you allow what would have been a cleaning lady in a more civilized time , power. We are doomed.
In a more civilized time she would have been a cleaning lady?? I guess the 1920s was a more civilized time for you
As I have continually said, "if you were a doctor you would insist that you were right about everything, except all your patients would die. Go ahead and be right about everything. I have the Court on my side. What you got? In regard to: "You will see not having access to abortion care will not stop women from trying to get abortions." No. You will see that. And you will see them also getting plenty of abortions. Plenty. Which will, once again, be a total invalidation of the lefty argument that that overturning Roe will/would result in lack of access to abortions. As I have said, this whole scenario will put the abortion mills on overdrive and the PP Vans will be driving from state to state and Oregon will be offering frequent flier miles and free tickets to the buffet at the casino as part of your quarterly abortion "wellness weekend." You keep arguing right to privacy and Marbury v. Madison though. Maybe submit a Motion for Reconsideration to the Supreme Court . heh, giggle. The truth is that all your dem thought leaders are using this abortion thing as a fundraiser to jack up their midterm campaigns. It's going to backfire on you because it will cause a lot of money to flow to the most lefty loon candidates who want to talk about abortion rather than the economy. But you gotta do what you gotta do. Which is to lose bigtime in November.
