It amazes me how much people like to bitch about airlines. There hasn't been a fatal crash of a U.S. registered carrier in well over a decade. You wanna bitch because..... what(?)! No coke? No peanuts? Ride the greyhound bro. Charter your own Prevost. Our pilots and fa's are the best in the world. Quit bitchin, I mean for real. That's bs. Make more money and fly first-cabin.
I mean, American Airlines was literally recorded dragging customers against their will (literally) off of flights they were overbooking. They denied a person who had purchased first class tickets on a flight so they could give it to a Democratic Congressional rep wanted on the flight. They had countless incidents that continued to show how little they cared about their customers. That's not coke and peanuts. If a company continuously shit on you and other customers is it really justified to tell public opinion to shutup and quit bitching and let them continue to do it? Nobody was speaking on airlines in general. They were speaking on American Airlines which WAS a shitty company with a track record of bad publicity for continuously screwing over their customers. Should companies like that be rewarded with no one speaking ill of them? It doesn't work like that.
Nobody has to take a bus just because you want to be the sheriff of who is allowed to give their opinion on a shitty company. I mean the same retarded logic could be applied to you. If you don't like hearing other people's opinions that you disagree with go find another message board where everyone only agrees with you. There's a thing called competition in any industry. I see bad reviews or incidents of companies called out by others I can use their competitors. Its because people call them out across the web that I can. You sound like a communist country where the state owns the business and people are not allowed to speak out against crappy companies. Feel free to go live in China or go to another message board (using your logic) if it bothers you that much.
Dig up Wonderbread... you sit here and sight a handful of cases out of literally 100's and 100's of thousands of passengers carried by that particular airline alone in a year. There's not a fucking major business in the consumer sector that doesn't have stories like this. I don't care if its WMT, MCD, or any of a half dozen others. I promise you, I have flown 1000 times more than you have, and I see people in back who have paid $150 for a ticket that think they just boarded the Queen-f'ing-Mary and the entire world revolves around them and their nasty fat-assed needs. I've seen people say "I'm never flying this airline again" because the pilot's de-icing holdover time expired and they had to get back in the deice line... to fly your dumb ass from point A to point B... SAFELY.... so don't tell me what's up. I don't care what airline it is... they all have these stories. The bottom line is you are in a tube with 150 other people, you're not special bud... and you have no fucking clue what goes on behind the scenes. No clue. Its a sign of being stupid when you talk out your ass about things that you know nothing about. So put your seat-back up, fasten your seat-belt... and stfu already. Case closed.
You fly a lot. Whoopdeedoo. You want a cookie? Once again, no matter how you try to angle it, no company is immune from criticism. You want to hold a company's hand who gives shit service? More power to you. But you're not the sheriff who decides no one is allowed to criticize a company and somehow say people are criticizing the entire industry. If I criticize McDonald's are you going to say fast food companies are immune from criticism? Yeah, because that's really how capitalism works, companies get edged out by competitors who give even better customer service, and industries go to the next level. Oh wait, it's not. You must be confused with communism. This is America. Only the best and strongest survive. If you want communism and the ability to shut down those who criticize something just because you dont like it you will find Reddit to be awesome. They are owned and operated by China.
Would be nice if I can actually ride the plane when I've paid for it. Even if it's first-class, people are still getting kicked off the plane even though they've paid for it just because the airline decided to sell the same seat twice and even hire henchmen to drag people off the plane and later on dismiss it as a "re-accommodation" issue. This is beyond not getting peanuts or coke. I don't know why people always refer to complaints about airlines as complaining about peanuts or coke. You need to troll better than that. LOL
