Kennedy will need millions of dollars to obtain ballot access in all 50 states over the two major parties’ objections. Shanahan vowed to help with that on Tuesday. “Take a look at his vision for America ― it is a vision. Dare to, as I spend the next seven months of my life getting him on each and every ballot in this country,” she said. Prior to this election cycle, Shanahan was a major donor to Democratic presidential candidates, including President Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign. She has also given to a number of Democratic congressional candidates, such as Rep. Ro Khanna, who represents key parts of Silicon Valley. Shanahan is still supporting Khanna, giving him the maximum allowable amount this cycle. Shanahan described her shift away from the Democratic Party as a product of her conclusion that the party’s leaders had moved away from its core values of “compassion,” “diplomacy,” “civil liberties,” and “free speech.” Even before Shanahan’s selection, national Democrats took Kennedy seriously as a threat to Biden’s re-election. In a Tuesday afternoon conference call convened by the Democratic National Committee, Biden surrogates characterized Shanahan’s selection as a desperate attempt to finance his way onto the ballot. “There is absolutely no path for Kennedy to become president and he knows that,” said Mallory McMorrow, majority whip in the Michigan state Senate. “That is why he picked a VP who can can buy his way onto the ballot in a number of states ― while that’s disgusting, and it is an abuse of our democracy.” McMorrow and her colleagues on the call characterized Kennedy as a “spoiler” who would boost former President Donald Trump. “His goal is to take votes away from President Biden and help elect Donald Trump,” said Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. Austin Davis (D).
These conspiracy theorists love each other so much...they will navigate politically toward one another. Therefore, I expect more MAGA conspiracy theorist voters to navigate to conspiracy theorist RFK Jr. Further, I expect the Republican supporters of Nikki Haley to continue staying away from Trump as a shout to Trump for his continued attacks on her base. Now throw in another Independent...we should see a scatter-buck-shot 2024 Presidential election all over the place. Last of all, Trump has some major problems to overcome in his VP selection considering he needs a VP that caters to his strongest supporters within MAGA to prevent losing those supporters to Independents that will show up. I wouldn't be shocked to see Trump select a VP who's a woman...less threatening to his base without upsetting his strongest voting group of MAGA. wrbtrader
Looks like extreme liberal progressives now crying foul because they say that Robert F. Kennedy will take away Democratic votes for Joe Biden? Talk about Biden Derangement Syndrome. They think Joe Biden is so awesome that nobody should even dare run against him? Delusion runs very deep in extreme liberal lalaland. That is why they keep saying that inflation is very low. A lot of people on the left believe that BS. Maybe, they have a cushy political appointed job somewhere? Artificial intelligence is about to make them irrelevant. Being a hack as a job is becoming obsolete when artificial intelligence can put out better propaganda than these paid hacks.
Yet Trump consistently polls higher when RFK is included in the polling. You probably think his progressive VP will make more MAGA voters to navigate to RFK https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...r&cvid=5848e0698b4b4a03914dd19ac52d650f&ei=13 Democrats unite against RFK Jr. Democrats desperate to see President Biden reelected are calling for more coordinated force against Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The independent’s rollout this week of patent lawyer and investor Nicole Shanahan as his vice president prompted Biden allies and liberal groups to escalate efforts against him, fearing his newfound cash flow and ballot access could be disastrous in November."
I expect Democrats to unite against RFK Jr. Also, I expect many MAGA Republicans who are conspiracy theorists to embrace RFK Jr. because they're that stupid and I expect Haley Republicans to embrace an Independent (doesn't need to be RFK Jr.) because they dislike Trump and Biden. Another possibility...Haley becomes a write-in for the 2024 Presidential election and/or another Independent write-in... While not securing the nomination, she is uniquely positioned to influence the outcome against Trump. In a demonstration of her commitment to the principles of democracy and a move to offer voters an alternative path, Haley could decide to run as a write-in candidate... Haley showcased the potential weaknesses in Trump’s reelection armor by capturing 23 percent in North Carolina, 34 percent in Virginia, 27 percent in Michigan, 33 percent in Colorado and a staggering 50 percent in Vermont. These percentages are not just numbers; they embody the dedication of voters who were fully aware that Haley would not clinch the nomination but still decided to vote for her (or against Trump). https://thehill.com/opinion/campaig...ite-in-campaign-can-save-the-gop-from-itself/ It's a good time for a Write-In or Independent to sneak into the Oval Office because of a Shotgun Scatter BuckShot Election. Throw in another Independent...Trump and Biden will have a big problem and many voters will get their wish of not having a Trump or Biden. Regardless of what I expect, Trump has three huge problems that will determine how many votes he loses... Dependent upon his VP selection. MAGA will be very happy if he selects a woman but Trump is not the type to share the thrown with a woman. That's a dilemma for Trump. Trump's constant attacks on the Republican supporters of Haley who consistently take a lot of votes from Trump. Elephant in the Room - A felony conviction of Trump that many flip-floppers and sell-outs ignore. Actually, many underestimates the impact it will have on the 2024 Presidential elections. wrbtrader
I think the rise of Independents in the 2024 election seem to further my view that 2012 was the last of the traditional D vs. R battle. Trump is not really a traditional GOP figure. He was a Democrat before running in 2016. He's a kind of independent himself. It seems that the Democrats want to keep the cohesiveness of a broad party but I think the Hamas attacks seems to have splintered even that concept. I think pretty soon there will be 3 or 4 more parties in the US elections going forward. I'm not sure how a coalition would work in the US however. The candidates that Tony Stark would back seems like they would be different than wrbtrader even though they could both be labeled "left" by the MSM. I voted for Perot in 1992, Clinton in 1996, Gore in 2000, Kerry in 2004, Obama in 2008 & 2012. I didn't vote for either major candidate in 2016. They both seemed "off" to me. Ditto in 2020.
I've never been labeled "left" by anyone until now by you. Yet, I've been labeled a traditional GOP, GOP Bush guy, and a Trump Hater...never a left. My family deeply rooted in the GOP for many generations. I'm also a strong follower of McCain even though I hated his VP selection (the witch from Alaska)...yet, he's dead. My hatred of Trump was birth during his attacks on McCain and Trump's lack of respect of our U.S. military. Nikki Haley (dropped out), Liz Cheney (not going to run), and Adam Daniel Kinzinger (not going to run) would be at the top of my lists as Write-Ins for my support. They with Biden...enough to defeat the Trump virus. Also, I'm a Québécois...rooted in the Parti Québécois here in Québec, Canada. Native American, French heritage and a proud U.S. military veteran that grew up in Kentucky (military family) and South Dakota...a few years in Illinois. Many of us Québécois have a strong dislike of Trump too especially the U.S. military veterans who immigrated here including those that have a 2nd home in Florida (a.k.a snowbirds). We get along with anyone who does not attack our U.S. military. U.S. military veterans who reside here and leave for the winter as "snowbirds"...veterans I know very well with 2nd homes in the below locations... In contrast, I navigate to cold, deep snow, winter camping, skiing to contrast my fellow veteran's here in Québec, Canada that fly south or drive down in their RVs for the winter. wrbtrader
