Just checked and "hot damn" (pun intended) comes to mind. Oh the pain, this one has to go down there as an ET classic and what's crazy is the OP is nowhere to be found to update on a call without a stop; shakes head. Is there a point of no return, should we assume it's margin call or is there a triple down incoming in the horizon? Getting the popcorn!
Its amazing how everyone becomes a market expert in situations like this. I certainly don´t think RM is avoiding this thread. Here is a quote from RM which may be applicable in situations like this one. http://www.elitetrader.com/et/index.php?threads/student-of-the-market.53788/page-4#post-816928
Merely as a counterpoint for the sake of argument, while the market may not know or care where you got in, your account is not nearly as free-spirited.
There's no sense of risk management in this trade, and it started like a crazy train (credit to Ozzy) wreck from day 1, that's all the counter-argument required for this disaster.
I think this trade is going to turn out fine given some time. He said it right on the first call, gotta hold it until the first chill. The El Niño is making it a bit strange, but I think January is going to be different story.
Weather hoping during massive heat, too "amateurish" for me, regardless of outcome. I do hope you guys get out unharmed out of this one though.
-"Trade based on what the stock is doing, not your entry" Well DGAZ is ripping north every single day since the short trade was put on... BTW- They are saying it will be mid 60's on Chtistmas Eve in NYC.
Typical internet behavior! Stick around and brag when the trade is going your way, disappear and ignore all your followers when getting killed.
