Mr. Metal, Those were good calls on gold and silver, real good calls. I remember asking you how low did you think silver would go. I was curious because, darn it, I just bought some Hecla Mining back then. And you said silver could go to the low 20's by summer's end. That was a fine call, a real good call. But today silver went below 19... and summer has not even started yet. So I was kinda wondering if you might wish silver back to 25 or even 30. That would be good. Real good. Everyone likes what you are doing. It is good. Real good.
LMAO! You get post of the year! Just in case we've got some kind of supernatural powers thing going on here, I wish for the following: *I want medical orthodoxy and the gov't to finally recognize the existence of Endorphin Deficiency Syndrome, and the clear proven need for some people to use opiates as the anti-depressant medication of last resort when nothing else works. *I want the American people to quit electing lying salesman types, and vote us in a real leader like Rand Paul. *I wish for the Islamic world to begin their own long overdue renaissance, similar to the one that brought the Christian world out of it's own dark ages a few hundred years back. "The most profitable war seldom pays for it's losses." (~T. Jefferson) World peace would be better for everyone than what we have now. Or does it only work on stocks and futures?
RM, you wrote: "*I want medical orthodoxy and the gov't to finally recognize the existence of Endorphin Deficiency Syndrome, and the clear proven need for some people to use opiates as the anti-depressant medication of last resort when nothing else works. " While not a hard-core libertarian, I'll go you one better on this. As long as you are not hurting anyone or putting others in danger, I do not believe it is any business of government what you choose to do. The drug laws have caused far more problems than they have solved, but that is besides the point. This country, as founded, placed a very high premium on the promise of indivdual freedom. Even the freedom to self-destruct. Somehow, over the last hundred years we have devolved into a wierd Orwellian nanny state.
Completely by coincidence, it was a hundred years ago when women were given the right to vote. But let's cut out the OT chat, because the mods hate it. So I increased my already significant gold put collection today. Gold current price: $1293.50
The SJs of ET's seem to have been unshackled a bit. Careful with that libertarian stuff. INTP: Interesting pattern I see. Speculative, curious. Discuss. ISTJ: Make sure your trading books are alphabetically ordered on your shelf and you arrange them chronologically. Thanks.
ISTJ - the market isn't doing what I expected. How dare it! Get back in line, market! I will short even more because your rally is so stupid and irrational! HOW CAN YOU FAIL TO DO WHAT YOU DID LAST TIME!!!
LOL at hard-J's. So I'm exiting some of my GLD puts this morning. Current gold price: $1237.60 So speaking of trading books, I can't think of any particularly important trading concepts I've learned from any book. I haven't even read very many trading books in the first place, and even put down "reminiscences" halfway through. Is this typical? Anyone here have the opposite experience? I do know that (Chicago/ET poster) Maverick learned something important from a book- That ACD stuff he uses all the time.
