I always thought that trading through an Introducing Broker that had several clearing relationships was a good solution. As it has been mentioned previously, it is a good idea to spread your capital around between FCMâs and keep the bare minimum necessary to maintain the integrity of your trading strategy. Having a choice of platforms and connections helps as well. We use Future Path with Ninja and TradeNavigator with Rithmic and that combination has worked well. Just my 2c
If you need the rithmic feed I know there are a couple of IBs who offer them. The one I've used is Cannon Trading Company. You might want to look into them. They offer a few different data feeds for Ninja Trader.
I'm essentially one step away from figuring all this out. I'd rather not have to go through the hassle at this time of switching brokers, platforms, etc.
I'd sit tight for at least another business day until Monday. Based on posts elsewhere of 'I talked to my broker and he said....' and with NT just today releasing a new .19 that allows Rithmic to any FCM that wants it (not just Vision like before), we'll probably see more offerings by next week.
I have been in contact myself with Joe over at Cannon. Gave me a Vision demo with NT and Rithmic. Worked perfectly. Good data feed. Good prices too. But the only downside (for me) is Vision and their recent CFTC not segregating funds correctly fine they got. http://www.cftc.gov/PressRoom/PressReleases/pr6714-13 I'm leery of them because of that. That said, the last CFTC FCM data report showed Vision as having more than twice their net capital requirement. http://www.cftc.gov/ucm/groups/public/@financialdataforfcms/documents/file/fcmdata1013.pdf So I dunno....
I do agree. By next week, we should hear more news about other clearing firms who have new signed agreements with Rithmic for Ninja Trader.
Trent, If I went with Ninja and CQG, doesn't that require Continuum and Kinetick too? If not, if it's just Ninja and CQG, who could I clear through?
Ninja and CQG is AMP. Global is one of their ib's. Global also offers NT thru RCG and KCG, one (or both?) of which uses PATS. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10264767/global.JPG
