I was able to buy SHFL May straddle first thing this morning for 26 vols(!!!) , they just announced the earning date > 5/18. Watch the IV goes to the moon (already 32 now)

 

out with 3$ profit per straddle , vols at 48 now. Most profitable 38 minutes of trading ever for me.

NUE vols are ramping like crazy and seem unsupportable here. Sold the June 115 combo from $13.00

 

no , the activity was 3$ dividend related ( make sense for all those ITM calls) , I don't know how to play those.

Last qtr SHLD posted earnings without previously announcing the report day (hence , no history of spike), so no reference to how high its can go. It did moved 12% , so current high (maybe higher ?) vols are justify. I might short it on the day of report :all those lucky bastards ( who ? Me ?) that bought today so cheap may step over each other to dump before close.

 

There is FDA annoucement on this stock today.How can we play this.
