Technology changes fast and if you can't keep up with the comp then get out of the way or get run over. RIM is a steaming pile of sheet and will ultimately only be valued for their library of patents. imho. Wonder what that is worth considering its probably the safest way to value that stock atm. AAPL is sitting on so much cash it's obscene. They would have to repeat RIM's strategy of doing nothing over and over again to end up in the same quagmire.
