Jem, you can quote all day long every day until you die. Your quotes all say the same thing: Human being development begins...etc. And for the last time, none of that is being debated. It doesn't change the fact that a single/multi cellular organism isn't the same thing as a human being - even if they are genetically identical under a microscope. A human being is more than just a few cells. End of story.

There have been seemingly legitimate studies that I recall reading a number of years ago of what fraction of the Muslim population in particular regions, might, if the opportunity arose, actually participate in a terrorist act where one is certain to die in committing the act, versus what fraction of Muslims are sympathetic with such terrorist acts or believe they are at least somewhat justified. If I recall correctly, the first number was very small; the second number surprisingly large. Let's assume that the study was legitimate and that I have recalled it correctly. The results would suggest that we can't realistically expect Muslim communities, representative of those studied, to partner with us in fighting jihad-fueled terrorism. We should recognize, however, that, as with Christianity, there are multiple Muslim sects and we may not yet know if they are monolithic with regard to their attitudes about jihad activity. It may be exceedingly difficult to change attitudes rooted in religious dogma that one has grown up with. The very nature of dogma may make these efforts virtually futile. Were it not hamstrung by political correctness, it would seem that secular education would be the most effective weapon against dogma. However those who sit on school boards or otherwise determine curricula, what is permissible, and what is not are influenced by dogma no less than the rest of us. Though the grip of religious dogma on the U.S. population has clearly weakened in the past half century, the U.S. population has still not transitioned to secularism to the extent that the Western Europeans have. I have often wondered why that is.

I don't really care that much... but... one of many similar phrases in those quotes... "the development of a new human being" A new human being is a still a human being. Scientists are generally very accurate when the write. If they wanted to say a new entity that would eventually develop into a human being... they would write that. In fact some may have written it that way. I am more that happy to review quotes to the contrary from scientists. I have tried to find quotes to the contray... After doing the research... I think you will realize many of the the scientists tend to get very circumspect in the way they phrase it. (I am talking about the scientists... not political organizations.)
So one side says, there were moslems celebrating after 9/11. It may have been only a few or it could be many. Who knows, maybe those celebrating were ISIS sympathizers. And the other side says, "It doesn't matter because you are so extreme you think a fertilized egg is a human being."
