Uh, no, as long as she's married and the family pays taxes. But obviously that's a red herring and you're ducking the real issue. I already said that property ownership alone isn't the best criterion. That's why I brought up taxes in the first place. Maybe you should master Reading Comprehension 101 before declaring yourself "Welfare State Apologist Numero Uno."
Why must I trade food stamps? Is it the same reason Obama is a food stamp president? One thing I have got to give Sigmund Freud. That slip thing is just an awesome tool! At any rate, I am an FX trader. I trade with Oanda. I did not trade this morning because I had to wait for a trade to resolve. Luckily, it worked out. I was at one point 100 pips under water. But I trusted my models, and held. How about you? Do you trade?
FX, gold, silver, indices, stocks. And as an individual and trader, I'm in favor of free markets, low taxes, and a small/decentralized gov't. I also see the rise of a freeloading population, class warfare, crony capitalism, Orwellian regs (e.g., Dodd Frank that does much more harm than good) as obstacles to efficient trading. BTW, there was no Freudian Slip there except maybe in your mind.
Well then welcome aboard, trader. Like my Brothers in Arms, I might disagree with you, but I will show great restraint in doing so. As far as Orwell goes, we will be the last to fall, but if you look at the news, eventually, there will be a speculator class. They will make laws that will tell us to get a different career, or leave. I have accepted that as it has happened to me once. I was a stock trader until the PDT rules were enacted. I tried futures for a while, but found that I could not control my risk, so I moved to FX. If they take down FX, then we can stop trading, pay allegiance to the NWO and accept what is given us, or face the alternatives, none of which involves growing old.
Yes and the top 1% have a LOT of skin and influence in the game. Money equates to political power. So who has the power?
Yes, money they made off the nation, with the help of the nation and made possible by our nation, which is everyone.
Holy crap! So the rich are more important than the rest of us? This is the basic flaw in conservative thinking.
"(e.g., Dodd Frank that does much more harm than good)" So the fact that the reason for the economic collapse of 08 was largely due to lack of effective regulation of the financial industry should be ignored?
Can't combine voting and taxes. That casino guy in Las vegas, Adleson or something? He just cuts out the middle man, gives Mr. Gingrich Pac like $10 or $15mil. And, I know a lot of 'rich' people who little or no income taxes. Goes back to the rate being paid again. And, yes, Soros and others write big checks to the left as well. I just don't recall having Voting was allowed to property owners at one point, but then we became a democracy of sorts, and I guess it's the 'democratic' part of democracy that has everyone somewhat befuddled. Caused pandering to those with less wealth. But, since we use the stupid electoral college anyway, popular votes don't even matter any longer. c
Odd how you would see it that way. I merely propose that one's voice be proportional to ones burden. What is it about fairness that you hate/fear so much?
