Considering I was a combat engineer in the military who spent some time in the Middle East in a joint deployment with a transportation brigade... The logistics of planning to build a port that will require U.S. military soldiers (engineers) and contractors (U.S. civilians) is enormous. Now we see the fruition and preparation of Biden's Infrastructure investments. They can get this (most likely will be a Trident Pier Construction) up and running very fast. I wouldn't be surprised if the announcement tonight (if he announces it) will be before the planning is complete (finalized) and before all the pieces of the puzzle are put in their proper position. If accomplished for Palestine civilians without any terrorist attacks from Hamas will be an enormous victory for Palestine civilians (food, water, jobs) and for the United States (U.S. military/Corps of Engineers/Transportation Brigades, Palestine civilians, Muslim Americans, and Biden). I only hope there are not any homegrown radicals in our military ranks that will sell secrets to Hamas during the building of the ports to enable terrorist activities against our soldiers and contract workers. I do know the military has been racking up finding homegrown spies/radicals within our ranks the past few years since Biden became president. In contrast, the Trump administration saw an increase in White Supremacy, Right-Wing Ideologies, and Radical Left-Wing Ideologies during his Presidency... the Biden administration inherited and is now trying like hell to weed out these spies/radicals from within our ranks. The article below is an example...the guy was arrested during the Biden administration but he began his radical activities during the Trump Presidency. US Army sgt from Fort Campbell accused of selling secrets to China (usatoday.com) These people are counted separately from Ku Klux Klan groups, racist skinheads, Christian Identity groups, and neo-Confederate groups, all of which also express some version of white supremacist beliefs...they grew about 55% during the Trump Presidency. A month after Biden's inauguration, the Pentagon released a report (Trump did not want the report to be released) that said U.S. military personnel and veterans are “highly prized” recruits for supremacist groups, and leaders of those groups try to join the military themselves and get those already in their groups to enlist. Their goal is to obtain weapons and skills and to try to borrow the military’s bravado and cachet... https://rollcall.com/2021/02/16/pen...ads-white-supremacists-have-made-in-military/ Others arrested (most of these arrests involved selling secrets/plans to China) https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/two-...g-military-information-peoples-republic-china The above is concerning to me because I know there will be a strong representation in building that port from the Army Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Navy/Marines from the San Diego Naval base, Transportation Brigades from Virginia, and some from our bases in South Korea. I wouldn't be surprised if some of our soldiers in South Korea are now receiving paperwork to get ready to be sent to Palestine. Regardless, whatever Biden's port plans are...if he announces it tonight in his State of the Union Speech...the House Armed Services Committee already knew about the port plans long before the public because the House Armed Services Committee would have needed to see the plans to be able to approve (fund) it. Those on the far right in the GOP will be in a race to disrupt it for enhancement for Trump's return back to the Oval Office just so that he can approve it (hypothetical speculation by me). Let us see who yells from the audience tonight if/when he announces the plans to build the Port to expedite supplies of food, water, and healthcare to civilians in Palestine. Palestinians don't have weeks. I'm starting to think this is just how Israel get s a free port in Gaza on our dime. Us could use amphibious vehicles if they needed to offload aid. Unless the point is not to deliver aid but to ship out people.
whut?? I hope you do not think all the arrests in the past several years have been soldiers selling secrets only to CHINA even though those arrests have been popular news stories in the media as other arrests barely made the news. wrbtrader
Not going to happen because that beach will put U.S. military soldiers at great risk if they were to bring in Military Amphibious Vehicles. Yet, the Red Cross is fully capable because they have a fleet of Amphibious Vehicles...well marked too. The Hamas has high ground in that beach area. Thus, you will need to bring more U.S. military soldiers to control that high ground while Military Amphibious Vehicles came ashore or you're willing to risk letting Israel military defend that high ground while the U.S. used Military Amphibious Vehicles to bring in food, water, medical/healthcare supplies and evacuation of injured civilians. Biden will keep his word...no U.S. soldier deployed there while Israel/Hamas are fighting. wrbtrader
bruh...Hamas aren't a threat....they're too busy hunkering down and our air support is like a kid playing with ants. Have UN troops handle the ground op's if we don't want to risk bodies. They'll do it. Besides, what makes pier construction and docking more safe than a secured beach? I was thinking more like this:
Anybody is a threat when they have high ground on a beach. A disaster waiting to happen and we do not need any more Gold Star parents, especially after the failure in Afghanistan. Regardless, if the Red Cross isn't up to the task...Egypt has M113 APCs that can be used on that beach to evacuate injured civilians along with escorting aid into Gaza. Egypt has often been a part of past ceasefire agreements and may be involved in the current ceasefire talks. In my opinion, that's two solutions...Red Cross and Egypt. wrbtrader
Egypt can't even get the Israelis to let trucks in. They start landing ships on Gaza and they'll be fired on, not by Hamas but the IDF.
