Now you know what will happen if an Independent candidate shows up when Trump becomes a convicted felon. :D

The Independent will pick up a majority of the voters instead of those voters switching at the last minute to a Republican within their party that they do not want because they're too fixated on Trump.

Sorry, I find that hard to believe considering you've bounced around a few times about Cornell West and you rarely mention his policies. In fact, you rarely promote his presidential qualities here at ET.

Has his name been on any primary ballot or is it still too early for a write-in (West's name)...maybe he's sitting out for a little longer with other Independents to see what will happen to Trump ???

The only time I have bounced around with West is saying I will vote for Stein if West is not on the ballot in my state, which is a possibility.

Which state is "your state" ?

My state is Illinois although I have a forever connection to Kentucky and South Dakota...states I grew up in for many years outside of France.

They are no different than the fringe likes of Marjorie Green but just on a different spectrum.

Please let us know when their name will be on the ballot especially with both parties seeing declines in registered voters...
    • Biden's campaign blames "low turnout" on messaging.
    • Trump's campaign blames "low turnout" on cold weather conditions (the weather).
Super Tuesday will be a better test. Warmer weather and more communication now that both parties see where the holes are in the dam.

Now that we're seeing the economy improving, consumer sentiment improving, and inflation back down (stabilized for now)...

I expect the fight about Immigration will be the political cry of 2024 going into the elections. Simply, I will not expect the Republicans, West, Stein to use the economy, wages, consumers, and inflation as a wheel to break.

They will concentrate on other issues (e.g. immigration) because it's what energizes voters...it could be a turning point for the GOP because they will be too distracted with Trump's soon to be SC hearing about his name on the ballot and criminal cases that he has "no immunity".

Simply, I"m expecting a record number of registered voters (I used the word registered) not showing up to the polls because they're too confused with all the bullshit politics that's surrounded by criminal court cases and residues of the insurrection.
