RGB Replacement ASAP!

  1. Let the winner on November decide because that will reflect the people's wish as to who to appoint the next judge.

If Trump wins he can simply continue his plan and appoint from his list.

If Biden wins, the people made a choice to have Biden appoint the next judge.

I thought McConnel was a bitch for pulling his stunt in 2016 but I understood the rationale and actually agreed with it as long as it would be a "rule" all would follow and GOP would not turn out to be hypocritical cuntbags if shoe was on other foot(fantasy I know).

If GOP Senate is so confident then make it part of their platform rather than pull the pussy move that if they don't support nominating someone now it would hurt their election chances - which is a bullshit argument because that means that if they don't support appointing a new judge now they would lose automaticllly to the Dem? Must mean their position was shaky as fuck.

    Total nonsense.

Since 1860 no Justice has been confirmed when the President and the Senate majority are different parties at a late stage of the President's term.

In 2016 Ruther Bader Ginsburg said that it was totally appropriate for the sitting President to nominate a Justice and for that Justice to be confirmed.

If McConnell can find 50 votes its going to happen and the democrats are powerless.

  3. Citing a pattern is not a law or precedent...

I am citing what McConnel said and holding him to it.

McConnell was right and the people should decide via the election just like in 2016.

Is the GOP afraid and scared of the election?

  4. No. Trump is doing a very transparent thing. He is telling the people who he will nominate before the election so that they can factor that in to their decision at the polls. What is wrong with that?

Versus Joe Sleeparius, who is asking you to vote for him and then later see whether he will nominate Che Guevera's sister or what. What are you hidin Joe? Why can't I at least see your list before the election?

Nominating and confirming before the election are obviously two different things, but keeping it simple for now, people should have no issue with just nomination before the election. And Joe should be required - through public demand- to name his choice too. Then we can haggle over when the nomination is held. Trump probably will not want to hold the confirmation until after the election anyway, depending on what Mitch says about how it will impact Senate races. But both parties should tell the electorate who they want before the election.

  5. Trump can tell the public who he will nominate, but dont pretend that Trump and the Senate are also claiming they want to get that person approved before the election as well.

So you cannot mistate what is being done.

Biden has 7 weeks to provide a list of candidates he would nominate.....Ruth just died 3 days ago....

Then you fail as an attorney for willfully disregarding the actual rules. No surprise there.

Its probably a tempest in a teapot anyway since the President will likely be reelected making it all moot. Donald Trump will be selecting the replacement SCOTUS member one way or another.

Are you folks sure this is the hill you want to die on? The terrible behavior on the Left will just generate more votes for the President. Its so stupid. The Party of Stupid.

  7. Okay fine.

But let's state that a little differently then, shall we?

We should rephrase that to say: "Although Joe has flat out stated that he will not release his list of potential nominees before the election, he has seven weeks to flip flop on this after his handlers tell him what he wants to do."

Perhaps you can tell us which scotus candidates were put forward for senate confirmation by a president but denied a vote then.

McConnell isn’t going to do any of that. He will get Trump’s nominee through.

Bashing McConnell and these other hypocrites in the media and on the campaign trail is a worthwhile endeavor but don’t kid yourself this court is going 6-3 before January 20, 2021.

  10. Cite me the rule then..... you are claiming that something has not happened in years (it obviously happened before). Also Mitch McConnell created his own rule and it has no legal authority. All of this is just procedure but you would not know that with you non legal background.

It is quite simple....let us follow the rule the McConnel stated that in an election year let us wait until after the election to let the people decide how they want this to go. I agree with this and did in 2016 as well.

Not sure what folks you are referring to, I am simply stating the policy of the GOP.

If you support Trump and believe he is going to win then what is the problem?
