Eh, I'm an open book but sometimes I don't tell the entire truth. I started trading in college. Best/worst trade was RHAT, pretty much missed the exact bottom by being too greedy on my limit order by about 10c. Was hooked after that. Your dad probably lost a lot of money in the markets, so I don't blame him. You always try to help your kids to do better than you did. Except my parents. Mine want me to do worse lol.

no he was too smart for that....he just did not trust brokers and in India in 1990s that was the smart thing to do. he bought some shares from a friend of his.....he bought HDFC bank shares in the IPO for a total cost of 1000 Indian rupees in 1994 and i recently sold it for 10,00,000 Indian rupees. but he felt i was stupid
