The reviews say this is the best movie ever made in the history of cinema. Some I read in rotten tomatoes. Sounds like its doing okay.
Hard to empathize with smurfs. Bet it doesn't take long to degenerate into the typical shoot em up. Its like the military industrial complex has a covert studio of their own. How else are they going to convince anybody to risk their lives and go overseas to shoot up goat herders. A shame the idiot culture is dominated by youth. This, becoming an Epic would be like Sarah Palin actually winning the Presidency ...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
I just found out the second movie in this story is already coming out next year...... "Globalists Strike Back - Prawns vs. Navi" "The story of a globalist corprotocracy sending enslaved but battle ready Prawns to attack the Navi on their home turf - the fight for Unobtainium is NOT over!"
BTW, I liked the movie and the expanded special effects....was very cool! Also, I want one of those shrouded tilt-rotor aircraft real bad!
This is a strange post. RT always starts out at one extreme and moves away from that point over time - it is a function of no one seeing it, a few people seeing it, then as it moves into general release everyone sees it (everyone that wants to, at least). That is how RT works for any movie. So what is your point? Did you see it and not like it, or are you talking from an ignorant point of view? You say "The movie cost 500 million" - before it is all said and done, it will be very profitable...don't worry. See James Cameron's track record if you are. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000116/ And that doesn't even include Aquaman*. I am going to see it Wed - IMAX 3D...I will post my thoughts afterward. *Entourage fans will understand that reference.
