Bunch of jackasses in this thread, but what do you expect from the "elite" of the crop. Only someone who has been thru this before you (either first hand or as family/support group) can understand what you are going thru.

    Keep the faith.

  3. Brandon,

I didn't know you were an ET member. I used to follow your old blog and check out your webinars. I was wondering why you stopped updating it.

Kinda sad that I don't even own my own name on the Internet! I started that project as my relationship with Toni was starting to head to the toilet, I was not sure what all I was going to do. I ended up, with the exception of the mentoring program that I did, really not doing a very good job with that site. The newsletter picks where ok, but my follow through with customers and whatnot was terrible. It's a project that I don't look back on and say I'm particularly proud of (Not really unproud either I guess, it just was not great, for sure not the standard I would normally have been holding myself too). In any case I had a partner on the site and when we decided to close down the business he has just kept the URL. I really couldnt make a site to save my life, I always had the tech stuff done for me, but Im not sure I plan to ever have a site again, I know that the guy who owns it is not going to screw me over with it, so Ive just never bothered to recover the URL. I'm pretty sure that if I asked him he would transfer it to me, but I don't even know how that works. That's why I'm just doing blogs now.

That project did start off really well. I was one of the first guys to use video (amazing how time flies in Internet land that video was a "revolution!") in this market, and it was very popular. I think I built the list up to a few thousand names in the couple months I had it up, but then just the way I handled the business sucked. It had the potential to have probably been the biggest thing I ever did though if I'd have not been having the personal problems and whatnot.

  9. Hi Brandon:

Thanks for relating your story here. I think it was Hemingway who spoke of "grace under pressure", the relatively few opportunities we all have in life to act with "grace" and "courage" when confronted with life and death situations. I admire the courage and grace with which you have both handled your situation, and related the story of it here. It should serve as a lesson in the importance of handling some of the basic protections in life.

As to some of the detractors here in this thread, I would ignore them. You know what's important in life, and it sure as hell isn't any of these pricks impressions of you here.

Personally it would be OK with me if you had spammed (it didn't even occur to me that you did)....I thought the story you related was that important.

Good luck to you, and my very best wishes.
