Reuters - Excel

  1. Greetings All,

Can anyone point me to information on how to track stocks in MS Excel? I subscribe to Reuters data and use Metastock 8.0.

    Example:
After identifying XYZ as a stock where I want to be long anywhere above, say, 8.00 -- or determining that ABC would no longer interest me under 15.00 -- I need some way of tracking prices, other than opening and inspecting each chart. Excel's ability to highlight cells that meet specific conditions seems an easy visual solution. But how do I get the daily close from Reuters into Excel?

In Metastock, creating an "Alert" in the Expert Advisor would be the ticket if I were looking for technical conditions, I suppose, but I'd like to monitor different price levels on a relatively large number of securities.

I'm sure there are thousands of traders tracking stocks using similar methods, but I'm stumped where to begin. Even introductory information would be extremely helpful.

    TIA
