Reuters EIKON

  1. I used the MetaStock version of Eikon. For the most part it was pretty good.

    Good:
    • Slick, modern interface
    • Well customizable
    • Great news feeds -- comprehensive and fast on announcements
    • Lots of fundamental information available
    Bad:
    • Can be slow switching between windows, and can crash
    • A lot of fundamental information is not displayed (completely hidden).
    • Invalid 'Help' (shows help content for full Eikon not for MetaStock's so looking for a feature that help says is there may not be there).
    • Lots of apps are restricted
    • No where close to a Bloomberg Terminal with regards to functionality

Could be worth the 150k/mo if you got nothing else. I use IB's TWS and it has a lot of the same information (just no where near as elegantly displayed). Ironically, it displays additional information from Thomson Reuters (such as the names of the analysts who did the upgrade), that would not be displayed on Eikon.
