Once Y loses job, Y becomes X, he doesn't "try to be" X. Now, X has to try to be > Y. It does not happen. Y is always greater than X. OPM = easy. OwnM = difficult, in comparison. A sim account (Y) is effectively OPM. Compare your sim account (Y) with your live account (X). Which account is doing better? For me, it is Y. Because it is not X, my own money. Pretty basic.
Well not if you develop your sim account to be profitable. You are supposed to make your sim account consistently profitable before you go live, then Y becomes or vice versa. That's always my philosophy: Develop a trading plan and then trade the plan.
Maybe you should have tried cakes instead? PS. A friend of mine is a high end pastry chef - it's really hard
Harder than options? My better half tried cakes until I refused to eat her failures and we couldn't give them away.
