  1. What size is considered big at a retail broker? When might you start running into trpuble with fills, slippage and stop running?

I am guessing anything less than $100,000 account you are small fish. But if you had say $1million+ aren't you going to get your stops hunted down?

OK say you start with $30,000 ND YOU ARE DOING GREAT. You get your account upto $100,000 when would you consider not growing the account any more and pulling all profits out? $100,000, $250,000, $500,000, $1M+ ? Can you let compounding work for you to this scale with a retail FX broker?

It would be interesting to know what size most people trade here on FX? Are we talking mostly less than $50,000? Less than $100,000? more than $250,000+ ?

  2. As far as position size, I would trade a maximum of 100 micro lots (100,000) as far as account size from several hundred to a thousand for the time being.

  3. Chipmunk, I think at $10,000, there is no reason not to switch over to currency futures on GLOBEX instead of trading spot.
