Resources for getting over fear of trading?

  1. I am not a qualified clinical psychiatrist, and it seems to me you will do well to see one, to help you basically remove the programming/conditioning that took place following these difficult personal experiences.

You could also actually, research on the internet, what emotions/feelings are usually generated by these type of experiences.
For INSTANCE, if your home is robbed, one would expect feelings of insecurities to be generated.
So researching all the possible feelings/emotions that could have been generated during these experiences, and analysing how they got generated - the thought process you went through, the beliefs you developed.
Just seeing how the experiences generated the feelings and the beliefs will help ease things.
Also, when researching the negative experiences, you might come across how other people have reacted in the same type of experiences - try to analyse why they reacted this way, what beliefs made them react this way, what feelings they had and why.

    Hope that helps.

  2. I'm a broken record, but that's fine....

dude, nobody cares. oh, you lose money. who cares. in x amount of years you will be gone and .... well, whatever, life goes on for others.

so......quit worrying, life is short, man up, and either deal with some stupid worries about losing money or quit trading entirely. are you homeless, starving, massive health problems? no.....so get on with it.

this is like a singer afraid to perform....so he waits in his closet until he is 99 years old....says one note, or not...then dies.

dude....drink some strong espresso and just get on with it

  3. Oh dear!
Luckily people have been doing some serious research in neurosciences and have found ways to really help people remove negative and/or destructive programming/conditioning.
At least seeing where tax payers research budget go to, is kind of uplifting.

starts out with a favorite blanket or stuffed animal, carrying baggage,as we get older and go thru the real world, some of that baggage is negative, doesnt bring you any comfort but we carry it anyway,if it's severe your going thru life with a chain around your waist pulling a tralier up hill, forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespassed against, forgive self, and everyone else, clean slate, practice it about as often as you use the bathroom, when it becomes old habit, you start thinking clearly, drop the luggage and dont accumulate any new stuff, not a clean slate but a well cleaned old slate

  6. very true ammo.
And one needs to basically clean up/detoxify once "inside" , hence good clinical psychiatrists are a must. These people have seen it all, so a regular person's issues will be understood fully quickly, and the negative memories and its effects removed completely.
To be honest these good clinical psychiatrists are really worth their fees.
Why carry the loads , when you can get "sorted", as long as you are ready to be fully honest and humble of course ? may be some people are comfortable where they are

  8. Take a break from trading, get some professional help, don't worry about rushing back to trading.

    You need time to heal.

Stop trading for awhile and concentrate on resolving those personal problems you're having. If you don't fix that, those personal problems will continue sabotaging you're career as a trader.

In other words, go get professional help if needed to help you resolve those personal issues.

    Good luck.
