Hi, thanks for all answers. There seems to be some conflicting information on the subject whenever you ask anyone. I'm sure this is to expected as it's just as much about personal preference. I will bring my laptop to the computer store and see if I can test the various options before deciding.
Hello friends, Due to the conflicting information with regards to choosing 4K or not, I was hoping to try out a 28" 4K directly in the shop, but no luck so far after visiting 4 different shops! My plan was to perhaps go for one single 4K 28" for now and then expand with another one later on if needed. But seeing that I didn't get to try one out first, I'm not so sure if I'm eager to take the chance on ordering one. The shop I visited today did however have a pretty slick dual screen setup with Samsung 24" (1920 x 1080). I'm getting a good discount, so with this double screen set-up it's still far more affordable than the cheapest single 28" 4K monitor I was looking at. So, I think perhaps I'll go for this. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
I went for these. Very satisfied with this set-up and glad I chose this versus one large 4K screen. I won't rule out that for the future of course, but right now, this was my best bet. Cheap, fits my furniture and does exactly what I need.
My 4k monitor is 5ms. I found this test page for TV's and they aren't as good. http://www.rtings.com/tv/tests/inputs/input-lag
Go for 2 big 24 inches monitors like some people here suggested, it's much greater for your case. One thing I noticed though how you can have 13.3" with something like 14" laptop anyway for example. Please explain that thing for me.
The thread is 2 years old and yes - I went for 2 x 24 already. : ) So, I have 2 x 24" in addition to my laptop screen. I'm doing just fine with that, but would in fact benefit from an additional screen.
