Requesting Help Before Ordering Hardware!

  1. A question that I can answer! :D

This is my personal favorite: Samsung 23-inch LCD mon, 2343BWX. Reliable. Excellent colors. And very good contrast ratio. You look at how black is the black color on the LCD when turned on, ya know... LOL

Hmmmmm.... out of stock on newegg. Maybe try some other retailers.

  2. RE: Extra Case Fan Upgrade: Maximum Enermax 120MM Case Cooling Fans for selected case (Maximum Silent Operation) (1,000 RPM Black Color with No LED Enlobal Magnetic Barometric Bearing 17 dBA)

The extra fan may be a good thing if you don't mind the extra cost. The i7 processor does get pretty hot, especially in the dead heat of summer.

RE: Noise Reduction Technology: Sound Absorbing Foam on Side, Top And Bottom panels

Not sure if this would be money well spent. I put my case underneath the desk. The humming "noise" doesn't bother me.

RE: Power Protection: OPTI-UPS VS575B 575VA/345W Uninterrupt Power Supply

This is a question of how important it is to you that your computer must stay on if commercial power is cut. And for trading not only your computer needs to be covered. Your cable modem, your router, and everything that is needed for the internet connection would also need to be covered too. Or else your computer will stay up all right but your monitor is a black screen, or you have your computer working but no internet.

RE: Surge Protector: Ultra U12-40551 Smart 6 Outlet Surge Protector

I don't think this is such a big deal.

RE: Internal USB Extension Module: NZXT Internal USB 6-PORT Expansion Module + USB Bluetooth 2.X EDR Dongle with Led Light Thumb Size

Only useful if you have a lot of USB devices. (And I suspect not). If the devices (slower devices) can share a USB port, you can get some of those USB hub (like 4-to-1) for $5.

  3. Second thought, radist: if you don't have a lot of data to back up, you can use one of those USB thumb drives (flash drives). The going rate is about $10 for 4 GB, $20 for 8 GB. It is easier than a USB disk drive. If you have a lot of data, then the USB disk drive is more economical.

Look at those raving reviews on newegg.com. The SAMSUNG 2343BWX is a collector's item. Discontinued at every single store, other than a refurb at a huge premium. Hope you loaded up the boat.

Scat, I thought you were referring to the SSD 80 GB Intel X25-M 2.5 inch SATA Gaming MLC Solid State Disk.

    Am I wrong?

    THANKS.

  10. Oh wow! I am keeping mine to sell them on ebay in a few years for some real profits! LOL :D

But I think they are out because they are replaced by newer products (probably the LED monitors not LCD).

My close second is Viewsonic brand. Third is Envision. They are all good.

I have one of these 24-inch Viewsonic:

But they are out of stock too.

May be try to find a 24-inch Samsung or Viewsonic monitors (the current models... probably some LED ones).
