When did you buy your 16GB in China and did it cost a lot back then? 16GB is about $30 - today's rate.
I didn't go to China to pick it up. LOL. But like I said it's Titanium not plastic. Very hard to come by and definitely not at $30.
24-inch monitor is nice to view about 1-2 feet away. I had tried a 26-inch one time and had returned it. Having a "BIG" monitor (26-inch or higher) close-up without added resolution (remained as 1920 x 1080 on the 26-inch) is not worth it IMO.
Bol, Are you certain the resolution of the Samsung I ordered won't do. It's 1920 x 1080P and LED. Here's the description. It's Full HD . . . it's 120Hz . . . it's LED! These days, there's more to the "high definition" experience than just high definiton. We're talking backlighting technology, frame-rate conversion, and the like. Naturally, this Samsung HDTV delivers a Full HD 1920 x 1080p resolution, compatible with the highest resolution video sources available. But there's far more to the story. First, 120Hz Clear Motion technology serves up clear, smooth, and lifelike on-screen motion, even when watching high-speed sports or action-movie sequences. Second, using edge-lit LED backlighting, the UN40C6300 is not only able to deliver enhanced color purity and staggering black levels (the hallmarks of lifelike detail), but it is also able to achieve an incredibly thin panel â only 1.1" thick! Finally, Ultra Clear Panel technology and a Wide Color Enhancer team up to bring crisp details, natural skin tones, excellent shadow detail, and vibrant colors to your home HD viewing experience. Oh, and at 40" in size, you get nothing less than a viewing experience of cinematic proportions.
Three feet away is only a yard. The Keyboard is at least a foot deep and with a 40" you can't even sit that close as there's a lot of real estate to take in.
I am not sure what you meant by "won't do" radist. All I said was having a 40-inch TV/monitor only 1 to 2 feet away, with a resolution of only 1920 x 1080, is UNCOMFORTABLE after a while, and I suspect you will get eye-straint quickly with watching the information on it all day. Without higher resolutions (e.g. 2560 x 1440 or more), IMO any monitor above 26-inch is not useful.
most of the samsungs haver poor ergonomics in terms of adjustable height and changing to portrait image.
It's true. They don't come with adjustable stands or a swivel for rotating 90-degree. You may want to consider getting your own mount/stand for the monitor. With mine... some of them are on the plastic stands they provided. Other ones are mounted on some 3M extended arms I got from Office Depot. This one: http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/653215/3M-MA100MB-Adjustable-Monitor-Arm-Desk/ This arm doesn't rotate from landscape to portrait.
