Dear People who actually know what they are talking about, I am trying to get a feel for the reputation of Chicago Trading Company and IMC Chicago (formerly Holland Trading House) from actual traders. I want to know how well these firms are thought of and how respected they are within the Chicago trading community. Also, what are the MacDaddy Chicago firms that everyone wants to trade for? Or is there such an entity? If you know about one or both of these firms and have an opinion (or have simply heard the word on the street), please impart your knowledge on me. Thanks in advance for any info!
Mac Daddy firms Gelber GHCO Transmarket or if you can bring your own capital there are many places where you can get a good deal with turns and desk fees... such as Advantage Futures
Does anyone have an opinion on either of the two firms I mentioned in the initial posting (CTC and IMC)?
Jump? If you are a Quant dude who writes C++. Geneva so you can trade the Cac 40 or another thin market? Firms that have the Capital to trade Cash and Futures like the big boys (Hedge Funds, Banks, or foreign govt entities) are the mack daddy firms.
