Republican VP Nom Palin thinks creationism should be taught in Schools

  1. Really? History certainly doesn't agree with you. What was considered good and lawful and even supported in the bible ("Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters" Eph. 6:5-6) just 200 years ago is rightly considered heinous and criminal today. There are endless additional examples to long to even try and list here.

    I'm quite certain that things we do today that we think are absolutely "good" and of no harm that will be judged quite differently in a few centuries from a totally different perspective and a much clearer understanding. Absolute is not a term that I would use to describe the physical world we live. Relative would be a much more accurate word.

    Salman Rushdies "Satanic Verses" was not, at the end of the day, a theocratic de-construction of islam alone.

    It applies across the board.

    The proliferation of other ideas, in western culture, has made such a watershed book somewhat redundant, particularly given the strange idea of american "freedom of expression", made books "like" this of little importance, in the overall marketplace.
