No person or group who communicates with a representative may contribute more than 100 bucks to a campaign. If a connection is found... the officers in the groups spend 6 months at club fed and the representative loses his pay for a year... 2nd offense... loss of office. Any lying about contributions --- club fed 3 years. For every lobbyist who goes to jail - 20 pot offenders get removed. This way the public will do the investigating.
yeah... thats why I added the twist that they can't communicate. At some point there has to be a way to tailor the law to get by a supreme court. So my shot -without spending any time reading the cases is to to say if they communicate they can't bribe but if they do not communicate they can spend all they want.
They can spend unlimited amounts, not contribute to candidates. Obama keeps trying to confuse people about this. Personally, I think the more political debate the better. Oddly, the media disagree. They liked it better when they decided what people heard and read.
