Republican Senator Foils Unemployment Benefits

  1. Actually the way you feel about Kentucky's say in the union is 100% the way I feel about California, Illinois, Connecticut, New York, Maryland, Florida and New Jersey.

  2. If his own party leader will not endorse him for re-election, what does that have to say for the actions he has taken? Even the crazy conservative republicans will not side with him. With the Republican party making efforts to unify their party, they do not need the strange antics from Senators like Bunning to ruin their credibility and support fromthe people. This is also the same reason that the republican party is telling Sarah Palin to take it down a notch. Bad publicity like this is the last thing that the GOP needs.

A Man of principle? Does a man of principal whine in his fillibuster speech that his being there will cause him to miss the Kentucky - SC basketball game?

  5. Actually, yes. It shows he's got his priorities right.

He is fine w/extending UE benefits - just wants a similar amount cut from somewhere else in the budget. What kind of Alice in Wonderland world are we living in when that is considered an unreasonable position?

  6. Ok this one has a big target painted on it. Even Eisenhower said fear the rise of military industrial complex.

I think you we could dump an overpriced F-22 Raptor or even the new F-35. Let's see how much these cost.

You know what we still are the #1 manufacturer in the world............in guns and weapons.

Thank god that even Gates put the kibosh on a lot of these. Rummie would have just thrown his hands up and said we go to war with the military we have.

Now before you think I am some liberal extremist far from it. I am for a strong military, just not one that bankrupts the country much like Rome and the UK were bankrupted.

We have more bombs and bullets than we will ever need, how many nukes is enough. Bunker busters galore, etc.

Here's how much we spend to play international policeman and imperialist vs other countries.

F-35 is getting a huge increase in development money and more airplanes. F-22 hasn't been killed yet, congress won't allow it. When the russian T-50 showed up the effort to kill the F-22 effectively died. We're going to buy lots of both airplanes and the F-22 will not be exported to anyone. You libtards will help pay for them. Thanks.
