First you ask me if I voted for them. Then you ask me why I voted for them, but there was no intervening affirmative answer on my part. As you apparently heard or read an affirmative answer from me when in reality I never answered at all, doesn't that say something about you, that perhaps you are schizophrenic?

  2. As usual, as was your analysis pre-election, your thinking is sub-standard...

  3. Pretty much. The Republican party has been taken over by neocons. So has most of the conservative movement itself.

Real conservatives have a lot to be cranky about. What did Republicans do for them during their reign?

  4. Bush's appointments to Supreme Court and rubber stamp by Republicans was probably the greatest lasting and most significant benefit to the conservative party.

Few people understand how powerful court appointments are for as much as a generation to come...

Which is why it was so important to the dems to regain control of the Senate...

  5. When they're slow, they're really slow.

A school teacher asks a student "what is 2+2?" Do you suppose the teacher doesn't know the answer?

So what? Not one incumbent Democrat lost a seat. Not One. :D

By the time you gang of sociopaths, plutocrats, crooks and liars and self-hating gays and self-hating blacks and other self-hating minorities get a clue, we'll have the country back on track.

Only 12 years in power. That's just 30% of the time we held Congress before, and now that percentage is going down even more.

Repeat after me: "I'm a Republican and I need psychiatric help."

zzz makes a good point. And did you see how that bastard bush tried to sneak a wild card in. Then the ports deal. I cant think of anything Bush did that was conservative. I am sure you can figure some stuff out but nothing big. Drug

Conservatism did not fail, it was not even seen.

And it certainly could be enacted. This will make RM happy. Stop enforcing pot laws and take those law enforcement dollars to the borders and our ports.

Cut back on the farm subsidies.

As the guy said on bill maher tonight.
    Eliminate ear marks.

Stop being an insurance company everytime someone builds a house in a stupid place. (which will drive down values and let people make self insure.) Distorting market forces once again misallocates resources.

Stop sending so much money to the UN and overseas.

Bring troops home from Europe and North Korea or let those countries pay for it.

Give the president a line item veto.

control lobbying contributions but make networds give back some of the airtime we own for political commercials.

Don't let foreign countries contribute money or hire ex congressman. In fact dont allow ex congressman to be paid as lobbyists for at least 10 years.

    Means test social security.
    .
Make people have copays on Medicare so they stop wasting it.

Dont spend millions of dollars or people or babies who are going to die soon anyway if they are not privately insured.

We dont have unlimited resources and now we are saving people and babies that would have been dead 20 years ago.

Cut the spending on Capital hill budgets for staff and offices by 20%.
