republican paranoia

  1. Why is this happening? At least part of the answer must lie in the way right-wing media create an alternate reality. For example, did you hear about how the cost of Obamacare just doubled? It didn’t, but millions of Fox-viewers and Rush-listeners believe that it did. Naturally, people who constantly hear about the evil that liberals do are ready and willing to believe that everything bad is the result of a dastardly liberal plot. And these are the people who vote in Republican primaries.

  2. So the CBO's making up the $1.76 trillion? :p

President Obama's national health care law will cost $1.76 trillion over a decade, according to a new projection released today by the Congressional Budget Office, rather than the $940 billion forecast when it was signed into law.

  3. It's not that the cost doubled. The CBO is just finally telling the truth about it. They accepted various ruses put up by the democrats before it was passed to fudge the cost estimate.

If the republicnas take over the Senate and House, canning the people who run CBO might be a good first step.

  4. fox news much? more likely a rush.

"If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, he is offered something which affords a reason for acting in accordance to his instincts, he will accept it even on the slightest evidence." -Bertrand Russell

  5. I have realized that in our world today, it is possible to create a complete bubble. One can literally live in their own little world. The election of Pres. Obama was a shock to the system of many of these types of people, and their reactionary behavior is to be expected.

First, denial.....America will elect McCain even with that nutbird veep he picked.

    Then anger.....Obama is the anti-Christ, a usurper, a foreigner, a muslim, a closet terroist.

Then bargaining......which is what the birther movement is about, if we can just convince people he is a foreigner, then they will impeach him.

Then depression.....our country is screwed, Im leaving....the sheeple.....the parasites.....if by some miracle Obama loses......

Acceptance will come in November, when the bubble is burst once and for all for those folks who watched too much Father Knows Best.

Indeed. I'd like for Obama to win for two reasons. First, he's the best man for the job among the available candidates. And second, for some high-entertainment in-your-face-style satisfaction. Oh, we'll have such fun.

Actually it is hilarious that a local sheriff can take on the President of the United States. Its an example of how powerless and feckless Barrack Obama is.

Your posts are well, not all the remarkable. Its the mental illness exhibited by RCG that is really fascinating. Yours is a supporting role at best.
