  1. what should those 9.6 unemployed do for health care? i guess if you are one that says"let them die in the streets" your post has some logic behind it.

  2. As much as you'd like it to be, the United States is not a socialist welfare state.

  3. Health care is not a right. [IMG]

People do not go to college and train for more than a decade, only to give out their services for free.

  4. I do not watch awards shows because usually, the least deserving person wins. Kanye West knows what I'm talking about when he interrupted that sweetheart Taylor Swift. [IMG]

It's been a very long time since I've watched the Miss USA pageant ...

  5. Maybe not, but affordable and uninterrupted access to it should be a right in any civilized country.

Perhaps you should duck when you see the brick coming.

  6. Hello

    Hello

Do you think housing and food should be a right? It seems to me there are far more pressing concerns then being able to see a doctor, healthcare would definately be behind these 2, as these 2 are pertinent to everyday survival.

note - my solution is that government pay and benes should be voted on by the electorate.

We could have a bind high low arb every election...

some group sets the low and high rate and then we vote.

We should do the same with retirement benes.

We can't leave these decisons in the hands of the politicians who have been bought off by groups of people interested in their own pay.

  9. You mean affordable like cell phones are, like shiny wheels on SUV's, like flat screen tv's?

  10. Hello

    Hello

"Affordable" is a subjective term based on the person. For a person who doesnt want to work an "affordable" house would be worth zero, so should we hand the people who dont want to work uninterrupted housing? Should we give them free food for life? Based on an income of zero, "affordable" equates to paying zero dollars for everything. Obama didnt do anything to make healthcare more affordable to the everyday person, he simply made it so that the person who doesnt work can get it for free, while someone else foots the bill.
