Reports from Korea: Google interested in LG, for its OLED display In a Korean stock exchange filing, LG confirmed it has received offers of investment for its OLED display business, but stopped short from naming Google as one of the potential investors. Korean media reported that Google wants to invest at least one trillion won (around $880 million) in LG’s small-sized OLED display manufacturing operation, for preferential access to LG’s smartphone display production, presumably for the next generation of the Pixel.
