Interesting question. If leftists are such wimps, why all the violence? Easy answer though. There are two basic wings of modern radical leftism, or "progressives" as they prefer to be called to hide their true intentions. One is the psuedo-intellectual wing, represented by the media, Hollywood and university activists. They are the wimps. One need only watch Obama's pathetic girl toss of the ceremonial first pitch of the All Star game to realize this. The other wing is their muscle. Union goons, ACORN thugs, black muslims and new black panther predators (like the thugs that were intimidating people outside the Philadelphia polling station, only to be let off by the Obama's AG Eric Holder), environmentalist and animal rights terrorists and the motley crew of marxist/anti capitalist/anti-globalist mobs that seem to come out of the woodwork. While the first group has as little contact as possible with the second, they do use their power to fund them with govenrment grants and protect them and prevent them from being held accountable for their lawlessness.
