  1. Coronado is a nice, little spot in San Diego o_O:) -- it's pure, wholesome, simple, clean and unjaded...it's its own little utopia.
    But also rather, naturally expensive.

It has a nice beach, homes, bay/city views, golf course, nice parks, churches, Hotel Del, nice little boutique shops. beautiful people.
a good cozy nook of San Diego that's good for walking your dog, going biking, walking in a safe place.

All that plus you can see your boat from your house. Much better deal than La Jolla...

OMG. May I ask how you would feel living in NYC, LA, London or HK or any large city for that matter? Meth encampments at the beach. Lmao. You must get a heart attack walking through any sort of shopping mall, all that disgusting filth walking around.

Taking this personally are we? How long did you live Oahu again? Since I've lived in several of the places you mention, and about 15 others, I'm speaking based on my experience. Not sure where you're speaking from outside of some kind of misplaced personal animosity? Get a life dude.

Get a life, exactly what I meant to say. You seem extremely anxious about everything and inconfident. The slightest critical comment gets you totally riled up. And no, I have never seen any method addicts at the beach anywhere in Oahu. Nor needles lying around. Nobody stole from anyone. No trash. Not sure in which fuxxed up hotel or youth hostel you lived but certainly not in a mainstream one. Maybe time to crawl out from your dumpster? I thought you have an MBA from a top school?

Actually I lived there for 3 years, as would be apparent if you actually read this thread. Sounds like you spent a week in Waikiki and are now an expert. An expert with a massive chip on his shoulder!

I stayed at multiple places on Oahu, including inside the island for about a month. Enough to be definitely sure that Oahu is not the dump you make it out to be.

Holy crap, look at those gangstas, they are about to take a hit and after that they will break into houses.

PS have you ever served in the armed forces abroad? Do you have the slightest inkling what danger actually means or poverty?

"Inside the island", I don't even know what that means and using that terminology demonstrates you didn't spend time interacting with people who actually lived there. Which is completely different from visiting a place, any place, just so you know.
By the way, the center of Oahu is a large Army base and pineapple fields, where did you stay exactly? Millilani, one of the more upscale Haole subdivisions on the Island? How many times did you visit the Waianie? How many times did you leave your car parked in Eva Beach? Anywhere from Haleiwa to Kaeana Point? How often did you commute the H-1? How many times did people graffiti the fence around your house, or dump old tires, toilets, bathtubs...in your and your neighbors front lawns overnight for no other reason than that you lived in a nice subdivision and they were too lazy to visit the free transfer station? Seriously, you spent "about a month" on Oahu and you're suddenly the expert on all the issues with the Island and you're telling someone who lived there for 3 years that they don't know what they're talking about? Who the heck do you think you are anyway, you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about!
My reply was regarding the which island in Hawaii is the best to live on. I think you'd be pretty damn hard pressed to find anyone who would argue that it's Oahu who had actually lived there. Your pontification is demonstrably worthless on this point.
