Spelling out the obvious all the time......why? Are you egotistical or just glad you know? Oh! You just want to help?

Next time you post....remember who you are?

What do 'you' like to read?

I like to reread my posts, but just because I really, really like the poster.

Jokes aside, I like to read personal experiences. Specially stories about the big boys...

  3. Hi rude child,

Three things appeal to me personally and selfishly:

    1. Making responses to questions that are exceptional as a way to iteratively refine my personal thinking on the subject. It sets up yet anothr pathway in parallel to the ones already in my mind. Also sometimes it occurs that I am able to better understand another's point of view on where they are breaking new ground.

    2. I continue to measure "transference" in my endeavors here. For a long time I have understood how knowledge, skills and experience are gained. It only happens as a process and to tranfer to another the concept of learning as a mind building process is very difficult. To build the pathways in the mind only comes from processing. You will be surprised to learn, given your intial comments, that one of the ways to accomplish this is by repetition. Fortunately, this was part of my graduate school circulum and as a practicum I had to determine the optimum reps required for a broad variety of types of communication and for a wide range of substantive content on various levels of complexity.

    3. I make posts on my third interest as well. It is the concept of passing forward to others what has been given to oneself. It is a way for the person giving to others to improve themselves in the matter of 1 above. As they make the effort sincerely and in a quality way, they achieve matter 2, above, as an additional proof of their doing 3.

None of this is part of your existance at this point from what you say to all of us. You are not at a stage of quality living where any of these kinds of things are a possibility. So to you and others like you, this is all OT.

If you want to get into a conversation about improving your prospects, now is the time to begin and, also, you can leave the childishness behind, maybe.

Grob, you have many raw nerves, i may have hit on one of them? I can understand the need for chat forums.....totally, and i mean it!
What i can't understand is the way you become totally defensive in your approach to my initial thread.

    Was i correct about you?

    Did i get to you?

  5. A sincere thanks for the reminder for Livermore of one's own self destructive tendencies. I am struggling with that now. I should have been up 3pts in the ES today.

Instead I had to fight my way back because I took a couple of I am bored flyer trades and guess what......they were losers! I ended the day flat minus several commissions. I did not deserve to win therefore I didn't. I was lucky to end the day flat.

time after time for the newbies.

  8. here u can appreciate other traders experiences and knowledge in their own field; maybe get a clue on what are the best brokers out there, the better equipment (hardware) and share your experiences as well...u know full well u wont learn how to trade by simply reading and copying other traders strategies (for whatever they are worth anyways)....a successful path ought to be of your own determination, if that's what u are looking for here. this board should be approached with the simple idea of sharing, deepen your knowledge on particular instruments and putting your self into discussion; nothing else.... and if u can't stand repetition, well you are not cut for internet trading boards and maybe not even for trading itself.

eliminate repetition by requiring newbies to learn how to use the search function on ET.

  10. Interesting complaint....

Did you expect to have a forum that starts at your level of knowledge and then continuously progresses and builds on your level of knowledge infinitely? Do you really believe that anything you watch, read or hear is new and not a regurgitation of the same stuff you knew with a small nugget of new info added here and there? If not, then why would you expect this forum to be any different?

I think Grob's reply hits the point on the head. This is why I post here. I find that I take away as much as I put into this site in the form of continuously consolidating my thought process and oftentimes taking away new information from others without them explicitly offering it.

I suggest you ignore the threads that do not make a contribution to your knowledge and just move on. Life is generally made up of repetitive processes with subtle changes in each incarnation; and so is the business of trading. If we are discussing trading here, wouldn't you expect the same to be true for these forums and threads.

I think ultimately, you will find a balance or get bored and move on. In either case, there is always something to be gained even from the repetitive threads.

    Best wishes.
