Instead - RELOAD!" Well, the guy who shot Giffords yesterday managed to keep firing until he killed six, including a child, and wounded 13 . Palin would no doubt say that she was only speaking in metaphor, that she only meant her followers should work to unseat Giffords and 19 other Democrats who had roused her ire by voting for health care. But anyone with any sense at all knows that violent language can incite actual violence, that metaphor can incite murder. At the very least, Palin added to a climate of violence. Palin should have taken it as a warning of what might happen when a Tea Party hothead dropped a gun while heckling Giffords at an earlier Congress On Your Corner event, more than a year ago. That did not stop Palin from declaring Giffords a "target." Giffords' district office was subsequently vandalized, and the congresswoman noted that Palin had put "the cross hairs of a gun sight over our district." "When people do that, they have to realize that there are consequences to that action," Giffords said. Giffords herself at least publicly failed to appreciate the full magnitude of the danger. She said at the time of the dropped gun incident that "at no point did I ever feel in danger and at no point did I ever feel there was a problem." "When you represent a district that includes the home of the O.K. Corral and Tombstone, 'the Town Too Tough to Die,' nothing's a surprise out in Cochise County," Giffords was quoted saying. In citing the famous shootout at the O.K. Corral in Tombstone, Giffords did not note that the gunplay was sparked when the Earp brothers sought to enforce town ordinance No. 9. That law was promulgated on April 19, 1881, by the Earps themselves. It prohibited carrying "deadly weapons, concealed or otherwise" including "firearms of every description." For Giffords to have cited Ordinance No. 9 could have meant political ruin in a district that romanticizes the O.K. Corral as part of its "gun culture." Either out of political expediency or actual belief, Giffords herself spoke fondly of this supposed legacy of the Wild West. "In my district and in my state, we have a very strong gun culture," she said in May when asked for her position regarding a renewed ban on assault weapons. She had been one of the members of Congress who added their support to the effort to overturn the gun ban in Washington. She also noted in interviews that she herself owned a Glock 9 mm. The NRA still branded her as an opponent because she had dared to suggest that guns should not be carried in bars. Even if Giffords had been carrying her Glock at her latest Congress On Your Corner event yesterday, she would have had no time to reach for it and defend herself. Unlike in all those westerns, gunmen bent on homicide almost never give you a chance to draw. And, unlike in the real Arizona of old, there was no Ordinance No. 9, no Earp brothers in the crowd yesterday to enforce it, to maybe spot the killer with the gun before he had a chance to use it. The result was exactly the kind of carnage the Earps had sought to prevent with their attempt at instilling gun-control culture. And, now that Palin may have the blood of more than some poor caribou on her hands, I wonder if she will continue putting people in cross hairs and calling on folks to RELOAD! mdaly@nydailynews.com

How about political tools? "drive to the hole" - Is she supposedly suggesting her followers take their "guns" to the golf course? Or is it a metaphor for winning or scoring a victory? (or maybe she was just horny at the time ) "Shoot with accuracy" - aim for the head/center mass or choose your words carefully to maximize affect? "aim high" - isn't this an Air Force recruiting slogan? Maybe those posters should now be banned. "it takes blood, sweat and tears to win" - dedication, focus and resolve maybe? Second Man Sought In Giffords Shooting May Be Assassinâs Handler Kurt Nimmo Infowars.com January 9, 2011 The FBI and local law enforcement in Pima County, Arizona, are looking for a second man wanted in connection with the shooting of Rep. Giffords and the murder of a federal judge and five others. The man is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 40-50 years old with dark hair, who was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark blue jacket. Fox News reported early Sunday that the man may have given the accused assassin, Jared Lee Loughner, a ride to the supermarket. Is it possible he acted as Loughnerâs handler in a larger assassination plot? Early in the Oklahoma City bombing case, the FBI sought a second man, described as John Doe 2. Police sketches of the man were released to the media. By the time the government was ready to prosecute Timothy McVeigh, however, John Doe 2 slipped into the background. Justice Department officials told the corporate media that the three witnesses at a truck rental business might have been confused when they were originally interviewed and said a second man accompanied McVeigh. âAnd finding out otherwise was impossible for most reporters, because the witnesses in Kansas were under intense pressure by the FBI not to talk to the press,â J. D. Cash wrote for the McCurtain Daily Gazette in 2004. âRegardless of the fact the witnesses at the truck rental were holding firm, by the time the much-anticipated murder and conspiracy trials for McVeigh and Nichols began in Denver in 1997, the government was working overtime trying to dismiss evidence that there had ever been a John Doe 2, or any other suspects that might muddy their cases against McVeigh and Nichols,â Cash writes. The FBI later admitted it had withheld evidence about informants who claimed Timothy McVeigh had additional accomplices. âFilings in the case also revealed the existence of at least four informants who were part of the Oklahoma City bombing investigation, including the one working undercover and another under an explicit confidentiality agreement,â J. M. Berger wrote for Intelwire in 2006. Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab, the Christmas non-bombing patsy who attempted to light his underwear on fire, was delivered to the airport and placed on the plane by a âsharp dressed manâ who had pull with airport authorities. Kurt Haskell, a passenger on the flight, told Alex Jones last year that the man was detained and handcuffed following Mutallabâs stunt. Since the event, however, the corporate media has ignored the participation of this Indian man, who was apparently Mutallabâs handler and managed to get the dim-witted Nigerian on the flight despite the fact he did not have a passport. He was also suspiciously removed from a terror watch list prior to the flight. It is very early in the Giffords shooting case. The FBI and Arizona law enforcement say they are looking for a second man connected to the murders, but this may fade into the background as the government prepares to prosecute Loughner. The official story that will become gospel for the corporate media is in the process of formulation. A second man may not be part of that narrative. Loughnerâs You Tube channel contains several rambling text-based videos which discuss his fascination with mind control. In one of his online rants, Loughner said that he was a âUnited States Military recruit at MEPS in Phoenixâ. Reports suggest that he also may have been deployed to Afghanistan at one point. âThe mission of USMEPCOM and the Phoenix MEPS is to process individuals for enlistment or induction into the armed services,â states the website of the United States Military Entrance Processing Command. The fact that Loughner was part of the US military and yet is being characterized as an anti-government conspiracy nutcase by the establishment media is a complete contradiction. Loughnerâs multitude of viewpoints seem to transcend political classification. Watching his You Tube videos, he is clearly a schizophrenic who is obsessed with mind control and other bizarre leftfield issues of minutia. Loughnerâs vulnerable and psychotic profile, combined with his interest in mind control, mirrors other famous assassins such as Mark David Chapman, John Hinckley, as well as Columbine killers Harris & Klebold. Another paralel can be drawn to Sirhan Sirhan, the accused assassin of Robert Kennedy. Although Sirhan was blamed as the lone individual behind the shooting, forensic evidence that emerged in 2008 confirmed that he did not fire the fatal shot. As the London Independent reported in 2005, evidence strongly indicates that Sirhan was a Manchurian candidate, a victim of mind control who was set up to be the fall guy for the murder. Sirhan was described by eyewitnesses as being in a trance-like state as he pulled the trigger. âThere was no way Sirhan Sirhan killed Kennedy,â said (Sirhanâs lawyer Larry) Teeter, who has filed the lawsuit to preserve the pantry for further forensic examination. âHe was the fall guy. His job was to get busted while the trigger man walked out. He wasnât consciously involved in any plot. He was a patsy. He was unconscious and unaware of what was happening â he was the true Manchurian Candidate.â Teeter does not know for certain who hypnotised Sirhan, but, he said: âI know it was done. It was consistent with the US governmentâs programme developed by the CIA and Military Intelligence to enable handlers to get people to commit crimes with no knowledge of what they are doing.â Evans goes further and names the hypnotist as a Dr William Joseph Bryan Jnr. He had worked on a CIA mind-control programme called MKULTRA and claimed to have moonlighted as a technical adviser on The Manchurian Candidate. The hypnosis, says Evans, had been done over three months, a period known as the âwhite fogâ when the Los Angeles police task force later investigating the assassination â and trying to construct a meticulous timetable of Sirhanâs activities up to the shooting â lost track of him. Sergeant Bill Jordan, the detective who was Sirhanâs first interrogator, told Evans: âWe took him back for more than a year with some intensity â where heâd been, what heâd been doing, who heâd been seeing. But there was this 10- or 12-week gap, like a blanket of white fog we could never penetrate, and which Sirhan himself appeared to have a complete amnesia about.â âHe is absolutely innocent. He is not the person who did the shooting. He was out of position and out of range and he couldnât have done it.â The CIAâs use of mind control to create killers is a matter of historical record. MK-ULTRA was the code name for a covert, illegal CIA human research program, run by the Office of Scientific Intelligence that came to light in 1975 through investigations by the Church Committee, and by a presidential commission known as the Rockefeller Commission. 14-year CIA veteran Victor Marchetti insists that the program is ongoing and has not been abandoned. Whether or not Jared Lee Loughner acted alone is being investigated by officials. A second suspect in the shootings is still being sought. However, Loughnerâs obsession with mind control is confirmed and given the historical connection between such events and the use of Manchurian candidates, nothing can be ruled out at this stage.
