Successful day traders can indeed make very high returns. For an individual, it's just way more difficult to lever it beyond a certain point. You can daytrade the piss out of $10M - It's quite another thing altogether to put $500M to work on an intraday only basis. Just my own 2 cents, YMMV.

Correct. I can never handle $500 M. But I don't wish to and don't have to. I don't even put $10M in the game.

Unless your stated period of returns is less than a year, I would bet size that your claim is not true.

  5. Of course is not true, once I read few of his posts and looked at this as entertainment.
What gets me today is all his bizarre hopium on a thread about Rentec.

I have done range of tests myself and i remember reading couple of his posts and there was one particular and i said to myself only academic could write things like that. All nicely written and as if was logical, but math does not confirm any of this.

If you ask him last quote of any future market chance is he will not provide it LOL
Thanks for speaking up anybody who done testing will see that things don't hold water

As far as Rentech goes, they are top notch and seem to have very robust models.

Hopefully someone can start a thread trying to have reasonable debate about there methods (given the Jim Simmons has actually made some generic claims about what they do).

The hire lots of signal processing people.

  7. It is good to know that it can be done, this in itself is valuable information.

I doubt anybody will go into detail and discuss what they think they are doing. This kind of sharing is cyclical and exist in early stages. Not any more, quants are mature markets and everyone in algorithmic trading is looking at other guy as competition. When i was reading threads here on ET years earlier and read them again today i think some of collaboration came from participants being on a frontier. It is still a good forum, just that times have changed.

Why are you quoting Piker amounts like starting with $5K??

If you can really make 1000% with small drawdowns, and even if you cant scale to making millions,
You should at least be able to turn $25K to $250K or $50K to $500K without reaching capacity.

Your claim of being able to make 1000% every year sounds like typical deluded noob talk.
Or typical vendor talk, aiming to attract desperate newbie flies to your bullshit.

If you cannot proof this you are yourself what you pretend that I am. Show me where the math does not add up. If you cannot, you are the clown, not me.

A typical posting from an idiot. Did you ever ask me a last quote? Is giving a lst quote proof that my postings are valid? As I said before: you are the clown, not me.

The 5k was an example. Where did I say that I have a 5K account? If a post a big account it is impossible according to the bashers, and if the account is small it is not good too. So no matter what I post everything will get a negative interpretation.
I don't share any information about the size I trade, nor about my exact returns. So like most bashers on ET, you use your own fantasy to put numbers on my account. I also never spoke about reaching limits in size. Again something coming from your fantasy world.

Bashers are so focused on attacking other people and so frustrated that they post a lot of things that come from their own fantasy world.

No wonder that most posters who can provide some valid information don't post on ET anymore. Or at least don't share anything anymore.
